The hotel could not have a better location! It is right smack in the center of the historic center of Arles, between the Roman Amphitheater and Arena! It has a great little cafe as well as a restaurant, and is in a cute, historic building. It also houses a spa with a small pool. But, because Arles is so well...

After reading the reviews on this hotel we were delighted to find out how accurate they were. Great location, great staff, comfortable rooms and great breakfasts. Would certainly choose this one again if we ever go back to that area. Very central for Avignon, Niemes, Orange, the Camargue, Pont du Gard and lots of other small towns.

How often will you get to stay in a hotel in the heart of an ancient town wedged between the Roman theatre and colloseum. This is a gem: it's a comfortable hotel; restaurant; cafe; internet cafe and shop. It's part of the fabric of Arles and could not be better located. It's bit tricky to find but that's what satnavs...

We had 4 double rooms for a family trip and it was just what I hoped for from the web site-often the web site is misleading, but not here. The rooms are spacious and clean with a local theme as decoration-and the air conditioning was a real bonus on a hot weekend in late July. A couple of the rooms...

Make sure you know where to go for parking prior to arrival as it is next to impossible to find this hotel if you are driving in Europe for the first time. Once we found our way to the hotel, we had a glorious time. The town of Arles is particularly charming and easy to walk in a day.

Just enjoyed 4 wonderful nights at Hotel Le Calendal. I traveled with my husband and teenage daughter and were put in a quad room with a double bed in one room and 2 twins in an adjoining room. It was very spacious. The location is perfect -- right across the street from the amphitheater and very near all of the...

Thank you to the friendly staff of the Le Calendal! We just got back from a trip there and had a lovely stay. Excellent restaurant, charming environment. Helpful staff. We stayed in room 46 and had a view of the Colliseum. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Very nice staff - someone came with us to the parking lot, which was very close on foot, but not obvious to get to by car. The room was nicely decorated and on the ground floor, so no dragging suitcases up stairs. The triple room is also a handicapped room and the bathroom was huge. The location can't be beat,...

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Arles train station (don't think I'd want to drive in Arles - the roads are mostly narrow and it didn't look like there was much public parking, though I recall seeing a lot near the Rhone), located just uphill from the Arena. From the front you can see both the...
