For a 2* it was excellent value for money; rooms very clean and well serviced. Staff went above and beyond to help - they even lent me an umbrella . Excellent location less than 10 mins from gare central and next to the Fortress wall .Delightful garden with a little bar where you can have breakfast and bring your own picnic. If you want large rooms with ultra modern features this is not the place for you. For four nights it was perfect. I would not hesitate to go back. . They are closing in November for renovation on the garden. The rooms are small but if you can get a room on the third floor so you are not overlooked from the garden. I was there in late sept so out of high season . The breakfasts well generous. Wifi was great no connection issues and there is a 24 hour gardien so all very secure.

It is impossible not to notice the high level of service provided by the staff, it is genuine kindness, humility and helpfulness. The staff are down to earth and are quick to help if there is anything you wonder about or need.

The hotel is of older stucco and has an interesting history and there are beautiful details. There is also a beautiful and spacious courtyard where you can eat breakfast and smoke if desired, without disturbing others.

We chose a smaller room but there are also slightly more modern rooms at a higher cost. In the smaller twin room there was nothing extra such as a minibar, coffee maker, hair dryer etc. but it worked well without this.

One thing that might be good to think about, however, is not to have any biscuits in front of you, we experienced that on the day of check-out when the package was full of small ants, but apart from that, we didn't notice any bugs and the room was very fresh.

They work to promote the environment and to not change towels more than necessary.

The breakfast had everything that was wanted, there are two options in costs which were 6€/person and night for a cup of coffee, a cup of juice and a croissant.

The other option was €12/person and night for the basic breakfast such as bread, cold cuts, hot breakfast, eggs, yogurt, pastries, coffee, tea and juice.

Parking costs €13/night which is an affordable price and it is stated on their website.

The private parking of our hotel will also provide you with peace of mind as you will not have to worry about finding an available space in the surrounding streets and finally security as the parking is closed by a code door and under video surveillance.

However, it can be good for those who travel with a huge amount of packing and do not have the opportunity to bring it into the hotel

The garage door also states that you yourself are responsible for everything you leave in the car.

The garage door has a long delay, so for yours and the other cars in the garage, it may be good to stay until the door actually closes.

The only downside I see with the hotel was the expensive breakfast at €48 for two people for 2 nights. Today, hotel breakfast has become a luxury item, so if you have the opportunity to have it included in the hotel price, take that option!

Alternatively, if you eat at one of all the cozy cafes that are right nearby

This boutique hotel has a lot of charm. The rooms have been renovated (maybe not all in my opinion, given some comments)
Mine was really cute. In addition, small organic shower gel with a Provençal scent and soap are available, which is nice.
The central patio is very pleasant for having a drink or reading.
The hotel is clean, with a soul. We feel good there.
It is close to rue des dyers, access in 3 minutes from a small alley.

We loved staying at this charming hotel in Avignon. It’s in a great location for walking into the the center of the walled old town.
The breakfast is very good, and is served in a lovely large room. Breakfast isn’t included, but it’s worth the price for what is offered.
Our room was small but confortable and cute, and we had an en suite bathroom with shower.
The owner and staff were very nice and helpful and made our stay comfortable.
There is also an inner courtyard where you can relax or eat and snacks are also available to buy.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for four nights. It is in a great location meaning easy to get to from the train station and a very easy walk to all the sights in the city. I LOVED the courtyard in the middle where you can sit under an olive tree with a coffee or glass of wine. Everyone at the reception area was SO helpful and friendly....all spoke very good English and helped out with anything I needed. They were also very accommodating and let me leave my backpack there overnight while doing a one day trip to Arles. I just found the entire atmosphere of the place to be courteous, safe (i was a single female traveling by myself), and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you Le Magnan!!

We stayed for three nights at this hotel as part of our tour of France. As others have said, the hotel didn’t look much from the outside but that changed once inside. We had a ground floor room located around the inner courtyard area. The room itself was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was narrow and access from the doorway was tight but once in, the shower at one end was enormous and luxurious. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The courtyard was a bonus for enjoying either your breakfast outside or an evening drink (there was a bar service). The location of the hotel, whilst inside the ramparts, seemed to be in a slightly run down area of the city which was a little off putting at night. However, we encountered no problems. The staff were efficient and polite if not overly friendly. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

The hotel's location is excellent, inside the old city walls, walking distance from restaurants, pubs and the Pope Palace.
The hotel's team is very friendly, fluent in English and very helpful. We got good recommendations for activities and restaurants.
Breakfast is very nice and rich, there is parking not far from the hotel for additional fee.
Rooms are OK, shower was nice and spacious, but the is no elevator and there is a little noise from he internal garden.
We enjoyed the hotel and recommend it.

I appreciated the location, the covered parking nearby at €13 per night, the cleanliness, the courtesy of the staff and the internal garden. I had difficulties with the bed: uncomfortable mattress and pillows, but above all the Lilliputian size of the bed... I'm not that tall, but I slept with my feet out and being very careful not to fall, it was so narrow! The size of the room was also more suitable for a single room rather than a double. I didn't try breakfast, €12 seemed a bit much for the coffee and croissants I usually get... I preferred to have it at the bar.

A modern and chic Provençal decor: posters of the most beautiful cities of Provence on the wall, a deep red polished bathroom, stained beams.
Top equipment: suitcase drop-off, a small desk, a full-length mirror, a locker room for shoes, coat and bag, a comfortable bed, reversible air conditioning.
Impeccable cleanliness.
Room overlooking a small, charming and quiet courtyard.
Fair price.
Ideal location for intramural travel on foot ;)
Really exactly what I like!
Well done

We really enjoyed our stay at Magnan Hotel! Right at the beginning we noticed the extraordinarily friendly and accommodating service. For parking we received a good directions directly on arrival. The room on the ground floor overlooking the indoor terrace was clean, nicely decorated and had a large bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with a good regional selection and we enjoyed this on the beautiful indoor terrace. The direct Old Town was within walking distance in just a few minutes which makes the hotel an absolute Recommendation for those who want to be quickly in the Old Town but want to enjoy the peace and quiet within the historic city walls at night.

Yes, it's possible and the rate is around 20 euros. Otherwise, there's a train shuttle between the TGV Station and the central station. The hotel is located at ten minutes by walk from the central station. Best regards

Hello, We have only two parkings available, one indoor (10 euros per day) and one outdoor (8 euros per day) : it's necessary to book it. Otherwise, you can find parkings in the street inside the wall (around 10 euros) or outside the wall (it's free) Best regards from Avignon Béatrice
