I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for four nights. It is in a great location meaning easy to get to from the train station and a very easy walk to all the sights in the city. I LOVED the courtyard in the middle where you can sit under an olive tree with a coffee or glass of wine. Everyone at the reception area was SO helpful and friendly....all spoke very good English and helped out with anything I needed. They were also very accommodating and let me leave my backpack there overnight while doing a one day trip to Arles. I just found the entire atmosphere of the place to be courteous, safe (i was a single female traveling by myself), and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you Le Magnan!!

We stayed for three nights at this hotel as part of our tour of France. As others have said, the hotel didn’t look much from the outside but that changed once inside. We had a ground floor room located around the inner courtyard area. The room itself was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was narrow and access from the doorway was tight but once in, the shower at one end was enormous and luxurious. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The courtyard was a bonus for enjoying either your breakfast outside or an evening drink (there was a bar service). The location of the hotel, whilst inside the ramparts, seemed to be in a slightly run down area of the city which was a little off putting at night. However, we encountered no problems. The staff were efficient and polite if not overly friendly. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

We loved staying at this charming hotel in Avignon. It’s in a great location for walking into the the center of the walled old town. The breakfast is very good, and is served in a lovely large room. Breakfast isn’t included, but it’s worth the price for what is offered. Our room was small but confortable and cute, and we had an en suite bathroom with shower. The owner and staff were very nice and helpful and made our stay comfortable. There is also an inner courtyard where you can relax or eat and snacks are also available to buy.

The hotel's location is excellent, inside the old city walls, walking distance from restaurants, pubs and the Pope Palace. The hotel's team is very friendly, fluent in English and very helpful. We got good recommendations for activities and restaurants. Breakfast is very nice and rich, there is parking not far from the hotel for additional fee. Rooms are OK, shower was nice and spacious, but the is no elevator and there is a little noise from he internal garden. We enjoyed the hotel and recommend it.

This is a small, clean, well priced, well run hotel within walking distance of the city centre. As others have said it doesn't look much from the outside but has a courtyard garden with the rooms set around it. The rooms are small but adequate. Good place to stay for visiting Avignon

We had a pleasant walk from the station to the hotel before we arrived at the Magnan. From the outside, nothing special, but once inside it changed. After an efficient check in we were led through the hotel to the garden and our room The rooms were set around the garden and were roomy and attractively decorated..The bathroom was bright and modern. We slept well and were sorry to leave. Both the owner and her staff were friendly and informative. This is a very nice place to stay and visit Avignon.

For a 2* it was excellent value for money; rooms very clean and well serviced. Staff went above and beyond to help - they even lent me an umbrella . Excellent location less than 10 mins from gare central and next to the Fortress wall .Delightful garden with a little bar where you can have breakfast and bring your own picnic. If you want large rooms with ultra modern features this is not the place for you. For four nights it was perfect. I would not hesitate to go back. . They are closing in November for renovation on the garden. The rooms are small but if you can get a room on the third floor so you are not overlooked from the garden. I was there in late sept so out of high season . The breakfasts well generous. Wifi was great no connection issues and there is a 24 hour gardien so all very secure.

It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but inside there’s a beautiful courtyard, the rooms are spotless and modern and the staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, good for our 4yr old! Breakfast was good too.

Modest but very well positioned and appointed hotel. Staff were very obliging. Just set within he walks of the town - east to find and access. Car parking around the corner was quite convenient and secure. The bed was a very good size and the facilities clean. All round we we very happy with our stay.
