We had concerns when we first arrived about the aircon in our allotted room but were swiftly moved to a different room. The hotel is a little dated but the beds were very comfortable and the room very clean. We chose to have the express breakfast which was fine and suited our purpose.

I stayed here for several nights. Reception is efficient and friendly. Rooms are very small for 2 and air con is very average but is working. Breakfast is good but costs €17 per person. The location within in city walls and close to the Hotel de Ville is excellent. Plenty of bars and restaurants within a few hundred metres

Best thing about this place is probably the spacious and inviting lobby area with bar. It also acts as the breakfast station. My advice is to take breakfast here when you like, knowing that there are several good breakfast venues within a few minutes walk. My room was small and slightly angled. A single room. Housekeeping, if you stay more than a night, probably won't happen until the afternoon. Hot water may take some time to heat up in the morning. There's an in-room coffee maker with some starter pods. Whether you get a new supply after their use depends on how forceful you are with the reception. I kept the air conditioner on full time even though the evenings were cool. It was difficult to adjust the thermostat so I just let it run. Hall lighting outside my room was out. Had to be careful after exiting the room at night because there was a level of steps I couldn't see. Wifi worked well. Hotel is just a short walk from the SNCF Gare. Restaurants very nearby.

H.O.S.P.I.T.A.L.I.T.Y - This Hotel onderstands the concept. A lovely hotel in the city center of Avignon. Nice, clean and very friendly staff. Good beds and a fresh and extensie breakfast. Do not expect a very large room for the Night but that is not what you need if you visit Avignon. Some hot water for tea (outside bar hours), extra storage for our luggage on our way home, it was all good. Service with a smile. Will absolutely return (also with the family). Merci beaucoup!

The hotel room was dark and full of mosquitos. We did not dare to sleep inside the duvet and walk on barefoot as the bed and the floor appear dirty. Air condition was not working properly and it was too loud for us to fall sleep. The hotel staff was unwilling to help us change rooms and appear rather callous to our complaints. For reasons of health and safety, we had to flee the hotel early. We paid for a 4 star hotel (double the price listed on tripadvisor), but what we got was a disgraceful and deceitful clown show.

Stayed here as part of a group from 30th July to 5th August. It was extremely hot, I was in room 131 and my air conditioning worked perfectly. Lovely hotel, comfy beds, great location. Would have given 5 stars if not for the deep bath which was very slippery, suggest the baths are treated with anti slip surface or at least bath mats and certainly need hand rails , nothing to hold onto at all. The breakfast was great as were the staff.

The hotel was centrally located and nicely furnished with an art-deco vibe. The staff was friendly and we had high hopes for a nice 3 night stay. When we checked in they said there was a minor maintenance issue with the AC which should be resolved shortly. 3 nights later it was still not working. Our room had a comfortable bed, big new bathroom, nice linens, a small refrigerator and a nespresso machine. It also overlooked a shaft between three buildings and we had no choice but to open the window to get some air into the room. We were eaten alive by the mosquitoes and there was a terrible sewage smell that floated up from the shaft. When I looked at old reviews of the hotel it seemed that this AC issue is a recurring theme. The hotel was not full so perhaps it is a way to cut back on the high cost of electricity. They also did not refresh the coffee pods or bottled water in the room each day. Another cost cutting measure. We received a small discount on the room but paid a high price with the 100+ mosquito bites and horrible sleep. May be OK in the winter but not worth the risk if you need AC

1. Disgusting Room: Upon entering the room, we are greeted by an offensive odor of pesticide, twelve living fies, and many more dead flies on the ceiling, the wall and the floor. The bed sheet and pillow cases have clear yellow stains. The bathroom is dark and unclean, and the casing of the toilette switch is about to fall off. The room is noisy all night because of the street and air condition. 2. Mendacious Staff: The pretentious female staff rejects our request to change rooms at first. And when we mention the flies in the room, she acts like it has never happened, and says she is going to spray pesticide when we leave the room. When we return the room after dinner, the flies are gone, but their dead bodies are now all over the floor and on the bed. No one is in sight at reception desk by now. The morning after, we get no further explanation, no formal apology, and no new arrangement. When we say we are checking out one day early because of the situation, the other pretentious female staff reacts like it has nothing to do with her as she is not even bothered to suggest a solution. She appears rather relieved to see us leave at our own cost of 260 euro per night. In fact, it is a sleazy hotel with false advertising, not qualified for a single star. Above all, the hotel service borders on discrimination in all senses.

Room was very hot. AC did not work. Terrible sleep the 2 nights we were here. They AC hallway better than rooms. We opened all the windows (no screens and pigeon almost flew in). Not much breeze entered our room. Location of hotel very convenient.

The AC is not sufficient to cool the rooms. In addition to us, I heard other patrons complaining. After a couple of days, it was apparent I was being bitten by bed bugs. I have had them before and know there tell-tale signs (bites groups in threes, mostly on the arms and hands.) The desk staff immediately dismissed my concerns without even looking at the bites. Said it must be mosquitos. I would think she would have shown more concern at the possibility of bed bugs. When I insisted she reluctantly took note of my room number and said she would check on it. Breakfast and breakfast staff was lovely.
