We stayed here a week in June and really enjoyed our stay. We were fortunate to have booked many months in advance and thus secured a room for approximately $260/night while the average room was well over $600.00. The room was spacious, clean and beautiful. The desk staff were excellent and extremely helpful with arranging tours for us or for...

What a gorgeous place! Great location, service impeccable. The rooms are charming, well decorated, great air conditioning, super beds, wonderful towels and showers. Everone here is so helpful. The breakfast was so cheerful and satisfying. We are looking forward to dinner.

Avignon is the perfect base to explore La Provence - with easy access to the Camargue, Arles, or Aix en Provence. Yes, Avignon is a "touristy" city, but it is charming nevertheless, compact to get around in with great shopping and wonderful dinner experiences waiting. The Hotel Europe is an exceptionally well run hotel, in the prime Avignon location. The...

We enjoyed two days of luxury here, just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Avignon. It's a very pretty hotel, with impeccable service. We had booked a couple of months in advance and were upgraded to a superior room, which oozed style. The whole place was hard to fault. We did baulk at the price of breakfast...

Enjoyed the location and charm of the hotel. As to our room, we were disappointed for a 5 star property. Our room was located off the courtyard and entered by a separate spiral staircase. The room was large, but the furnishings were tired. The carpet was stained and the hotel staff had to bring in a heater to make the...

We spent 5 nights at the hotel and wish we could have spent our last 3 nights in Avignon here but the hotel was booked the remainder of our stay. Staff were incredible, we were given a free room upgrade upon check in. The room was incredibly nice with ample size, decor, lighting, and bathroom with separate shower and bath....

We stayed at the Hotel d'Europe in a superior category room over 25 years ago. But at 395€ a night nowadays, this was out of our league. Thanks to the recommendation of a renown travel guide, we snagged one of the "classique" rooms at only 194€ a night for two nights. The room was quiet, as it overlooked a courtyard....

We spent 4 nights at this refined French hotel & had a lovely room overlooking the courtyard. The staff are very helpful & quickly provided a heater as we had arrived in a deluge & we & our bags were saturated while attempting to get to the hotel from the TGV station(not a taxi in site!). Breakfast was enjoyable in...

Unfortunately, my husband and I only stayed one night at this luxurious hotel. After the small rooms of Paris these rooms were amazingly grande and lovely. The experience was only improved when we were upgraded. The room was tastefully decorated, the bathroom was fashioned entirely out of marble and every shuttered window opened out into a picturesque courtyard. C'était merveilleux...

Our room was spacious (there are varying room prices and sizes - your choice), comfortable beds and a lovely atmosphere all round. Excatly what I would expect for 5 stars in an historical French City. And,the staff are great throughout the hotel, but on reception they are absolutely amazingly cheerful and helpful.
