I’m currently staying in the family suite. While the room is clean, spacious, and well-located, there are several issues that make the experience less than ideal. The most significant problem is the overwhelming smell of sewer gas, particularly in the upstairs rooms and the entire 3rd-floor corridor. Additionally, the portable air conditioners provided are ineffective—they’re noisy and only blow hot air, making it difficult to cool down the suite. Although the small pool has been a welcome relief in the 90-95 degree heat outside, our suite remains uncomfortably warm at 80-85 degrees. We’ve resorted to taking cool showers, which thankfully have good water pressure and temperature. Unfortunately, based on these experiences, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to other families.

The hotel is nicely located just outside the city walls, 10-15 minutes walk to Palais des Papes. We stayed int he triple room which is of great size, and very convenient. It has a small sitting room separated from the bedroom by the sliding doors, so I could read without disturbing the kids when they were already asleep.

It is a dated hotel that has seen better days. Although it is well located within 10 mins walk of old city and offers very convenient parking, everything goes south when you enter the building.
The rooms are tired, with old furniture, noisy air conditioning, and a shabby terrace. Note: THERE IS NO WIFI IN THE ROOMS!
The lobby area really offers very few facilities: a limited bar that is not available Sunday and Monday; no restaurant, snacks or information.
Housekeeping is dreadful, sometimes not arriving at all but, when they do, they are light on resupply for the room. Note: do not use plastic cups because they won’t be replaced.
Management are conspicuous by their absence. It is certainly not a 4 star hotel and prices of €200 a room without breakfast are not justified. Go to Novotel up the road.

I stayed at the Avignon Grand Hotel with my partner from 12 to 16 September 22 there were however a number of short comings. The first of these was that the room we had been provided with was infested with mosquitoes - we had discovered this in the middle of the night after hearing the typical mosquito sounds and in the morning we had noticed we had numerous mosquito bites on our bodies. I had complained to the hotel front desk, the staff however appeared dismissive, my fundamental point to them was that the room should have been properly disinfected of the insects prior to making it available to customers. Secondly, breakfast in the hotel was of the bare minimum, in terms of hot cooked food , only bacon and scrambled eggs were available, the latter was of poor quality and almost resembled a paste as the eggs were cooked in far too much cream and milk.Cereal, bread, croissants, yogurt and some fruit were also available. No hot water was available in the hotel in the morning of the 16 September 22. Lastly, all the TV channels were in French, not even one channel was available in English. We had booked this hotel on the understanding it was of 4 stars, given however the shortcomings above together with the standard and quality that were below customer expectations it is difficult to see how the 4 star rating and price being charged was justified.

This hotel is located conveniently one block from the Avignon Centre train station. It was perfect for us as we took a one day trip over to Nîmes. Within that same block you enter the old city and can go right up the main street to all of the restaurants, bistros, and narrow streets
Our room was clean and comfortable, including both bedroom and sitting room. The staff was friendly and the breakfast extensive, including hot, cold, and deli.
I can’t think of a better place to anchor visit to the beautiful city of Avignon.

The booking procedure on the hotel website was very simple and easy. Pre-check in procedure was also very helpfeul and easy via email. Everything we requested was in the room ready for us. The room was exactly as it was displayed in the photos, actually we were pleasantly surprised by the large size of the room.
The decor and the furnishings are a little dated but everything worked well and suited us fine.
We did not use the pool or other facilities as we only stayed 1 night.
Loction is excellent. Convenient to get to by car and close enough to the old town to walk to most sites. It is also very close to the train station (about 100m)
Friendly and helpful staff. Discount parking on site was a bonus.

Despite booking two parking spaces at the hotel there was only one spot left into which my car barely fitted, and my brother had to park in the street. It was not a good start. The hotel was a further disappointment. The staff were unwelcoming and somewhat dismissive as if we were an intrusion. My room although functional and clean was unattractive with bare walls and aging furnishings which made it rather stifling. The hotel had certainly lost the elegance the frontage suggested it had once had. Our room felt as if it had been carved out of a once much larger room which left it with an odd inaccessible corner. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. The outside terrace was closed. Breakfast was adequate and we enjoyed boiling our own eggs. The hotel was ideally situated to visit the sights and was not expensive.

Found this hotel at the last minute so the only rooms left they had was the one without AC. It was a very hot day so the room temperature was high and not very comfortable. To our surprise, there was a pool (although not bit) that can be enjoyable for kinds on such hot days. Also adults because there is a telephone to call the bar so they bring the drinks to you.
The staff at the reception were really helpful and nice. A noce place to stay overall.

Large sound proof room with excellent airco
No noise of the train station next doors inside the room
Extensive breakfast buffet.
The St Louis restaurant is worth visiting.

Stayed two night. Well located just next to Avignon Centre train station. My room was facing the street. Soundproofing is lacking and there was some noise from the street.
The room front door had no deadbolt or latch.
Spacious room with large sitting area. Very dated decor. Major shortage of electrical outlets, which were all occupied.
Room amenities included an electric kettle.
Comfortable bed and pillows.
Bathroom with everything in working order. Small shower cabin, good water pressure. Minimal toiletries (shampoo, bath gel and soap bar).
Average wifi.
Overall a fairly comfortable stay, but not what one would expect from a 4-star hotel.

There is parking below the hotel which costs approximately 12 euros per evening.
The aircon wasn’t working in June 2019. Suggest you contact the hotel and ask them
