My husband and I spent three nights at the Mirande. It is one of the finest hotels we have ever experienced. The hotel has old charm with comfortable rooms. The location is perfect for seeing the sites of Avignon. The staff is outstanding. We had excellent advice for touring in the area and for several restaurants within walking distance of...

We spent four nights at La Bastide during a family trip to Provence. Avignon makes a wonderful base for seeing nearby sights like the Pont du Gard, and towns like Les Baux, Nimes and Arles. The hotel itself has been beautifully restored. The rooms, while a little small by Twenty-first Century standards, are beautifully appointed and cozy. The public spaces...

What a beautiful hotel. Service was impeccable too. We requested room #20 which was amazing. Location is in the heart of the old city and staying at La Mirande makes you feel like you've gone back in time. Well worth the extra money to stay here for a night.

We stayed there for one night in November and it was a really pleasant stay. The XVIII century building is very nice, the rooms combine the original charming style with great comfort, including excellent beds and comfortable and large bathrooms and very quiet. The night we were there the restaurant was closed and replaced by the Table d'hôtes hosted by...

This hotel lives up to its reputation in every way. It used to house the cardinals, and is suitably enormous with rooms two-stories high, quaint old stone spiral staircases, and lots of nooks and crannies which the hotel has filled with comfortable seating, small tables, delightful 18th and 19th century décor, and quirky modern artwork mixed in with traditional pieces....

Dear Guest, I remenber this evening in the historic kitchen very well and we are all very happy to read that you enjoyed staying with us. Superbly located opposite the Palace of Popes. We enjoyed the apartment which is located separately from the hotel but has the same privileges. The apartment was 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom with kitchenette and living areas. To be located apart from the hotel by mere steps was wonderful, and to enjoy the hotel restaurants and bars was also superb. The...

La Miranda (Avignon) is a magical retreat within the walls of the old City of Avignon, which is in the middle of the Rhone wine country. Parts of the building dates to back to the former residence of cardinals that served the nine Popes that resided in the grandiose Papal Palace next door, which was the seat of the Catholic...

A charming hotel, with lots of tasteful details, set in a very old building, excellent central location next to the palace of the Popes. Friendly welcome at reception, staff generally efficient, professional and friendly. Has a very good dinner in their celebrated restaurant, with a nice roaring fireplace. All good, a nice place to stay if you are visiting Avignon.

Right behind the Palais des Papes, conveniently located in order to explore Avignon's center, and the riverside. Each room has different decoration, character, charm, while the same applies to its public spaces such as its bar, restaurant, tea room etc.. This is a very old building (>600 years old), and a pleasure to spend a night or two in it....
