Set in an 18th-century building, the Garlande is a boutique hotel nestled in the heart of Avignon. You should appreciate the calm and safety of its location in a pedestrian aera while being a couple of blocks of the effervescence of the Popes Palace and the famous "Pont d'Avignon". The Garlande will be an ideal home base for exploring Provence and its vineyards of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, the Luberon and its lavender fields, the immense heritage bequeathed by the Romans, the landscapes immortalized by Vincent Van Gogh ... When the evening comes, it will be time to enjoy a refreshment on a terrace and think about enjoying the restaurants of the old town.

This hotel is ideally located in central Avignon. The owner was particularly helpful in helping us during our stay, especially in finding stuff to do in the area. The rooms were large and generally fine. The bed was comfortable. They do incorporate very strict covid regulations. If you wanted your room cleaned, you must leave the windows open. There was a rather bizarre key hanging protocol as you exited to make sure the owner knew who was in and out in case of a fire. It's a pretty good hike from there to the closest parking garage, which costs about 25 euros a day. It's about a 7 minute walk and a bit rough with baggage in tow. However, overall we'd recommend staying here given it's central location.

Hôtel Garlande is beautifully maintained by Stefan and Emmanuelle. We stayed seven nights and thoroughly enjoyed calling this boutique hotel « home » for a week. The breakfast buffet provider choices for a healthy and and light breakfast. Juice, granolas, egg to order, croissants, multi grain artisanal bread as well as an array of sweet & delicate pastry item. Breakfast beverages include orange, grapefruit, and apple juice; accompanied by made to order coffee and tea choices. The location is safe and convenient allowing quick strolls to Avignon’s numerous cafes, shops and museums. Hôtel Garlande is just a few minutes’ walk to the Avignon Centre train station which conveniently connects you to surrounding international airports; including: Charles DeGaulle, Marseille and Lyon. We hope to return to Avignon and to Hotel Garlande!

This is a little gem. The hosts are super helpful and go beyond most to ease guests’ visits in terms of recommending what to see in town and day trips. They know good restaurants (we liked their taste) and even made the calls for reservations when we were driving around and might not manage that.
The thick stone walls kept room quiet; the modern bathroom tucked in was great.
Have breakfast there. The food is varied, homemade and delicious. Attentiveness to Covid precautions was helpful.
We will be recommending to friends and family and hope to return.

A delightful, small, charming , very clean Hotel in the centre of Avignon. The owners are the most helpful ,charming owners I have ever come across, nothing is too much trouble, I needed almond milk which they sourced specifically for me. The location of the Hotel is perfect for seeing all the major sites of interest which are in easy walking distance.

If you are looking for fluffy towelling robes, swimming pool and a beauty spa, read no further as this is NOT for you.
If you are looking for a hotel ideally positioned in the old town of Avignon in easy walking distance of all that you would wish to experience with a range of restaurants within 100 metres, read on. Add an excellent and informative host in Stefan, a welcome French breakfast in the hotel, located in a group of 300 yo terrace houses and you have a unique experience.
We can only speak of our room, but very comfortable and very well restored.
Is it all roses? No. No lift for the upper rooms (we specified ground floor) and room for our luggage was not totally convenient, but we had luggage for 6 weeks travel in a range of climates.
Why not try something definitely, comfortably, conveniently different.

Quaint 18th century hotel, centrally located in beautiful Avignon. Helpful friendly staff! I love that each room is decorated differently- there is no lift so if your room is on the top floor be ready for a narrow spiral staircase- all part of the charm. Safe and secure and excellent communication from staff before and throughout our stay. The breakfast is substantial if you choose to add it to your room for about 15 Euros!

We came to Avignon a couple of days before our river cruise and chose this hotel based on other reviews. We were not disappointed! Reasonably priced, impeccably clean and charming rooms, friendly service from the host - Emmanuelle and her sons. My dad stayed on the first floor due to mobility issues. We stayed on the third floor - Emmanuelle's son kindly carried our heavy luggage up the winding staircase for us. The rooms have mini-split AC units so we were cool and comfortable all night long. She also gave us great restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. We opted in to have breakfast there and she got some delicious gluten free bread for us. Great central location. You can't go wrong staying here.

We had a great stay at Garlande Hotel.

Prior to our stay, we were sent an email from Emmanuelle with information about the hotel’s location and Avignon in general, which was very helpful.

The hotel is in the perfect location to explore Avignon. We arrived by car and parked only a few minutes from the hotel. The parking was around 16€ per night.

When we arrived, we were provided with a map of Avignon and some recommendations of restaurants and what to do while in Avignon. All were fantastic. I absolutely cannot fault the friendly service.

The hotel itself is an old building and the rooms match, making it a charming stay. The rooms are very well priced and are large and very clean with comfortable beds.

Overall a perfect stay and would definitely recommend!

I spent two nights in this delightful hotel, which was charming, It is very close to the main square in Avignon, but in a quiet side street. I had a room on the ground floor right beside the front door, but I found it to be very quiet. I saw a previous review where someone complained about the curtains being too thin, but my room had shutters as well as curtains so this was not an issue. The couple who run the hotel, and their staff are all very friendly and helpful. The room was very pretty with nice furnishings and pictures on the walls. Breakfast was amazing with a huge selection of home baked items which were delicious.
I was travelling alone, but I felt very safe and comfortable in this hotel and would thoroughly recommend it.

Located on a narrow pedestrian street in the heart of Avignon, we stayed in a 17th century building with modern comforts and the friendliest hosts, Stephan and Emmanvelle. They both spoke excellent English and answered our every question. We ate at the restaurants they recommended and they were all excellent. The front door and the winding staircase were obviously 300 years old, but the bathroom was modern, the air conditioning worked well, and the beds were comfortable. We had two large windows in our room which also offered cross ventilation and lots of light. We loved Avignon and when we come back, this is where we will want to stay.
