On their menu it says they have grilled meats. The tall, friendly lady serving said I can't have steak frites - "I think you can have that for lunch" she said, but I "can have chicken" ..then she returns from the kitchen and tells me I can have steak frites. -When it arrives, it's a (small, bunless) burger (steak hache) and chips, although no salad or vegetables. I was hoping to get a good sized sirloin steak, and some vegetables as well. In a photo online, I saw someone at this hotel having this. A little bit disappointing / perplexing. This hotel is pretty nice, in good condition & clean. The (abundant number of) staff were nice too. The receptionists speak fluent English. It's a good choice if you're driving. I walked to a large Carrefour supermarket - a slightly awkward, in terms of navigating road layouts and roundabouts, 10 minute walk away. The rooms are nice, and much roomier than the Mercure Gare Du Lyon. I'd like to have stayed here with a girlfriend - They are ok for 2 people, not cramped, and the bed is large - It has a relaxing and peaceful ambience (the windows can be fully opened) - the birds (song) seem very happy and confident, singing several hours after the sun has set. I got a room at the back, otherwise there might be a little noise from the road on one side. The shower and basin are all in the same large room (as the bed), though separated by an optional curtain. The toilet is in a separate room. - An unusual layout, but I thought it was good. I appreciate the little extras to break up the monotony of the building, so it's not like a dull, sanitary business hotel so much - the variety of wallpapers, small lights in different places etc. It's about a 15 minute walk from the TGV station. The 'check in' time is from 3pm - I waited 20 minutes for a room (from arriving at 2.40pm), along with others, but this didn't bother me / they need time to clean of course, and the staff (I saw them) are clearly very efficient at this, even if they drag furniture around quite a lot (you hear a lot of scraping from the room), for a large part of the day. There were dogs barking on the first night I was there - although occasional/ sporadic, this was loud - I think they are outside in neighbouring apartments (presumably on their balcony or in the communal garden). I slept exceptionally well on my 2nd night -no barking dogs, and less morning furniture & hoover scraping! On the day of departure, I read ‘A year in Provence’, whilst killing time waiting for an early afternoon train, in the hotel lobby. - Various relaxing songs were playing, but hearing St Etienne's ‘Only love can break your heart’, whilst in southern France, was the deal breaker for higher approval.…

This is an excellent hotel as far as location, interior decoration, infrastructure, breakfast, amenities and service are concerned. Warm welcome, efficient service, fast check-out, clean rooms. We had the balneo suite with balcony. Amazing. Only disadvantage: we did not succeed in turning on the air conditioning, nor the shower, nor the bathtub. All with hi-tech controls. I am familiar with advanced technologies, but some basic information on these complex (or non-functioning) functionalities would be welcome. We will be back very soon to check progress in this matter ... Some secondary concerns were about the noises in the street at night (loud incoming guests, barking dogs in the neighbourhood ...).

Great stay Family of 4 (including a 13 and 9 yo)+ cat + electric car. We initially came in for two nights to use it as a base to go around and visit Provence. Our initial criteria was to find an hotel in Avignon with electric chargers for cars, a pool and accept pets. Needless to say it was almost mission impossible but this hotel ticked all the boxes. We stayed in rooms 206 and 207. The rooms are spacious and new (we went for two joint classic rooms), the food of restaurant (although a bit on the expensive side) was fabulous and the pool surprising large for an hotel in this area. Lovely place to go to after a day of visits to cool down and enjoy a few cocktails. We tried all the facilities: gym, spa, pool, electric chargers, restaurant, bar, kids room and everything was to the standard you would expect. I must admit that we were one of these families with a hundred and one requests but they were always handled to perfection and with a smile: as we had a cat with us, we requested no housekeeping be done which they obliged (you’d be surprised how many hotel forget and let the cat escape 🙈), we were able to get joint rooms as we were travelling with teen/children, and upon request they provided fruits salads as desert for the kids menu instead of ice cream as set out in the menu (nice change as they spent their afternoon eating ice cream as it was so hot!). We enjoyed our trip so much that we decided to extend it by one night and do a late check out, again, not a bother. A big shout out to Manon, Deborah and Mathis who were great at the restaurant (+the barman who I didn’t get the name and makes great cocktails). The plus: the rooms, pool, electric car chargers (a lot of them so no queue!), the restaurant The “less”: towels and a mirror in the gym would be nice (especially for those doing weights to watch their backs) and check your bill re breakfast, I think it is automatically included but the staff is happy to remove it once you point this out. We were overcharged at check-out, the whol check out process was very chaotic adn the staff seemed very clueless. We were rushing for a train so in the end gave up arguing. After more careful review of our invoice, we were charged for breakfasts which we had pre-paid at time of booking. I have emailed the hotel, who have confirmed that they did make a mistake and we were overcharged and they asked for my card details to process the refund. This was 4 weeks ago and I have heard nothing since and not received a refund. I can't believe they admitted overcharging us and still have yet to refund us, it's daylight robbery!

Really nice hotel. Rooms were new and had loads of space. The pool was fab too for after a day of exploring I’m Avignon. The train station is a ten minute walk and only takes 5 mins to get to the city centre. Staff were super helpful and friendly. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure breakfast is well stocked. One morning we came down 40 Minutes before breakfast was over and a lot of the stuff was gone. A bit more variety would be great too.

The hotel is very convenient and walking distance from the TGV station. I was immediately greeted at the lobby. I was very early arriving, and I did not expect them to have my room ready. However staff wanted to have the housekeepers prioritize my room first. I used Avignon as my base to explore Provence. They have 2 gated parking lots and 8 electric charging stations. There is a Super Carrefour nearby and 7 minutes to Palais des Papes Parking garage. I would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting Provence.

After an unpleasant night at a bed and breakfast in Orange, we booked walk in stay at this Mercure. It worked out perfectly. The rooms were clean, quiet, comfortable. And the staff across the board was warm and welcoming. We didn't get to use the pool but it looked wonderful and relaxing.

My wife and I decided to end our cycling trip to Provence at this hotel before taking the train up to Paris the morning after. We are very glad we did. We arrived early on the day of our arrival and decided to ask them to store our bags and bikes for the day while we hired a car and headed off to the beach, which the Mercure team gladly did. However they did so much more - their receptetion team was great and with Hamza in particular reccommending a fantastic beach to go to and provided other invaluable travel tips which made a day, which was expected to be just about killing time, into one of the most memorable of the whole holiday. For this we are extremely thankful. They even supplied us with beach towels for the day!! As a result of Hamza's advice we also were able to enjoy an evening of spring festivities in Arles before returning to the hotel late in the evening after a lovely dinner in a very festibe town. The hotel is brand new, very modern and their facilities, rooms and services are of the highest order. Breakfast was varied and excellent and we thouroughly enjoyed lounging by their beautiful swimming pool in the morning before we left. I travel often for work and regret to say that the sterilized existence of the Editions, Marriotts, Mandarins and Sofitels of this world is often the warm bed which awaits at the end of the workday. While generally excellent - whay they often lack is the personal touch, friendliness and excellent service which we enjoyed at this hotel. We stayed for a Night after arrival at TGV station Avignon. Hotel is in Walking distance and brand new. It is very family friendly with affordable family room, kids corner / room at the Restaurant/ bar and staff with an eye for kids needs. Breakfast was Perfect too!
