We enjoyed our stay in the Kyriad Hotel very much. Starting every day with an excellent breakfast to discover the citiy and surroundings from a perfect central location. Having our car in the public Palais du Papes parking was very convenient just 100 meters away from the Hotel and with a 50€ flat rate for 7 days multiple entrance very reasonalbe parking cost in the very center of Avignon. The hotel staff could speak English and was always very friendly and helpful. With a clear Corona hygienic concept/rules for one way use of elevators/stairways, hand desinfection disposers, service at the breakfast buffet... we allways felt save in the Hotel.

Perfectly positioned next to Palais des Papes and 100m from the Palais des Papes Parking. Reception assistance was extremely welcoming, informative and helpful in both perfect French and English language. We were early for check in so they gladly stored our luggage whilst we familiarised ourselves with town. It's very clean, Covid aware and considered. The bed was wonderful and firm with lovely soft bedding and good towels. We were lucky to be on the 5th flr with great views the airconditioning was perfect. Breakfast space is very small but well organised and a good fresh selection with great coffee. We were recommended two wonderful restaurants Le Vintage and Alice & ses Merveilles. All in all just perfect.

We have stayed at the mercure next door ~5 years ago & the rooms were so hot (in July..& they showed us 3 different rooms!) that we couldn’t sleep, so we thought we would try the Kyriad this time. Even though they have the same type “central” heat/ac, I was actually able to adjust the temp in my room. We stayed in Jan & sometimes hotels in Europe have the heat on full blast(too hot!) so I was happy to be able to have some control in order to sleep well. I also appreciated how new & super clean the room was. The mini bar had a few cold drinks for sale inside & the rest was open for your items (No freezer section). The coffee supplies were very adequate👏The bathroom was spotless! Our room overlooked the square & with the windows closed, we could not hear a thing. The young lady & man working reception were very nice & their English was excellent. Best location & price that I could find for the amenities

Stayed one night while on a tour (booked by tour agent). Centrally located within walking distance of multiple restaurants and shops. There are several steps just to get to the elevator. My room (29) was not reachable with the elevator: from the first floor one had to climb a narrow winding staircase (I'm surprised this is considered compliant with the fire safety code). Upon entering the room, there was a strong smell of smoke, and I noticed the same strong smell in the lobby the next morning. The hotel staff stated that the entire property was non-smoking and the smell was coming from the outside through the ventilation system. The windows were closed and had no screens, so I left them closed to avoid insects. However, I noticed that there were several mosquitoes already in the room and asked the front desk for bug spray. The front desk employee (Jiselle) stated that it wasn't the hotel's problem and I could go buy some bug spray myself. She said that "perhaps the mosquitoes come in through the ventilation system". It was past 20:30 and I was lucky to find a store still open that sold bug spray, with which I ended up zapping quite a few mosquitoes. In decades of traveling, this is the first time I run into a hotel that makes zero efforts at mosquito control within their own property, and refuses to provide bug spray or other mosquito control product during the mosquito season. The room was otherwise clean and fairly quiet, albeit quite small. Comfortable bed and pillows. Amenities included electric kettle with coffee and tea packets. Sufficient number of power jacks. Bathroom with everything in working order. Small shower cabin with no shelf space (no place other than the floor to put anything while showering). Good water pressure. No toiletries provided other than liquid soap. Wifi worked well. Breakfast buffet with limited selection (by 08:30 many items had run out and had not been replaced). Would not stay there again.

Dear Guest, As our hotel is located in the heart of Avignon, our space is limited, thus the rooms are not as big as the other hotels found outside the walls, but are enough for the number of people allocated in each room. We understand where your frustration is coming from and we present you, our apologies. However, we would like to clarify a few points about your recent stay in the hotel: 1. There are only 5 steps to reach the elevator with a resting stop after the 2nd one. Your room is accessible with the elevator until the 1st floor, then by going up one staircase. There are auto-detect lights as soon as you reach the entrance of the staircase, as well as rails for the safety of our clients. Everything in the hotel is compliant with the fire safety code. Even if it wasn’t necessary, our receptionist even went beyond to help you with your luggage up the stairs until your room. 2. As you have mentioned, all of the rooms in the hotel are non-smoking. We have a designated open space away from the rooms, where people can smoke. Our hotel receptionist checked as soon as you have raised this concern, just a few minutes after she guided you to your room, but she wasn’t able to smell the smoke that you have mentioned. Nevertheless, she made sure to spray the hotel neutral fragnance all over your room again. She never mentioned that the smell came from the ventilation system, rather it was you who said you opened the air-conditioning unit and you thought it caused the smell to disappear. Although our staff told you that it was really impossible to smell smoke in the room to begin with, as we have someone in the hotel who controls all of the rooms every day prior to arrival of clients. 3. Not having a mosquito spray available in the reception doesn’t mean that we do not take proper prevention for pest control in the hotel. You also mentioned the cleanliness of the room, thus it doesn’t support your comment. Several pharmacies are only a few steps away from our location, thus the receptionist suggested for you to visit them. Moreover, when she checked your room the first time, she didn’t notice any mosquitoes which you also confirmed, thus saying that the room is mosquito infested for the “4 mosquitoes” you told her about seems to be an exaggeration. 4. Please note that towels, blow-dry, hand soap, along with hair and body soap were provided in the toilet. You can also put your things in the drawer located under the sink. Nevertheless, we are happy to know that you have appreciated our location as well as our amenities. We apologize once again for failing to meet your expectations. Beautiful hotel in a great location close to all the attractions and restaurants. Amazing view to the palace and extremely close to all important places. Excellent friendly staff and a very good breakfast. I only gained two pounds over a three week vacation and I completely blame the frozen yogurt machine and their. As you would expect with any downtown location, some of the rooms are odd-shaped but they made excellent use of the space in our room. Had never stayed at a Kyriad before, but now I will look for them!

I returned from a week from Avignon which I loved. I stayed at the Kyriad. Top location. You have to look for the entrance very carefully as it is covered by the awnings of the many restaurants on the Place de l'Horologe. I stayed in a room on the 5th floor. floor overlooking the roofs, absolute peace. In the room there is a kettle for tea or herbal teas and coffee capsules. The staff are all young, smiling and very helpful. Extreme cleanliness throughout the hotel, good breakfast, cereal bread super. Go and you will have a great time.

The hotel is super well located. On Place de l’Horloge, 250m from the Palace of the Popes.
Our room was very comfortable and a good size, with an excellent bed and a good bathroom. The internet worked well.
For those driving, there is the option of stopping at the Palais des Papes public car park, and walking approximately 300 meters to the hotel (flat path). The hotel gives 20% discount to guests.
The breakfast was good, with fruit, bread, omelettes, cheese and cold juices, espresso.

Wheelchair user. We had made a reservation for March/April 2024, months in advance. Clear (and demonstrable on site) additional request for an adapted PMR room. But upon arrival they were not informed... And therefore no room available. The receptionist first tried that 'error' when booking. com, but it turned out to be clear that 'the hotel' had not responded to my question... The friendly receptionist then did his utmost to find an alternative. In the end it became the Mercure hotel, next door and a good 100 euros more expensive... ...I hope that in the future this kind of situation can be avoided...!!

Simple hotel, great location very close to the Palais des Papes. There is underground parking if you arrive by car. Friendly staff, normal breakfast. On the same street there are an abundance of restaurants and brasseries of varying quality and prices.
