This is one of the best places I have ever stayed, it was perfect. I stayed in the annex in the Mancerina apartment which is decorated in reds and yellows. There was lots of space, the living area was great for lounging around in, it...More
This was our first trip to Avignon and Provence and we wanted to be pretty central given that we were only staying for two days, without a car. La Banasterie's website looked wonderful and as we were travelling with relatives we were able to make...More

A nice, but expensive, accommodation in Avignon, within a short walking distance of the Pope's Palace. This was my wife's favorite accommodation in terms of decor. Area around the home is run down with graffitti. Parking is a good 5 min walk to the public...More
We had to stay in the annexe as the main hotel was full and, as expected, it was not as good an experience as others have had there .
We were in the double bedroom on the top(third) floor (110E) .It was clean, brightly decorated...More
The place is near all the tourist attractions, yet hidden in a quiet street. Quiet, peaceful, and charming. Due to availability, we had to get a more expensive suite. It turned out to be a great arrangement. The room was beautiful with old-world charm. We...More

direction : Leave the highway A7 to the extit "Avignon nord" then follow the signs "avignon centre" drive along ramparts (the Rhone (river) on your right) enter in the city by the door "Porte de la ligne" (follow the yellow sign la mirande) and turn immediately on your right "rue des remparts de la
ligne" when this street turn on the left you are "rue de la
Banasterie", we are to N°11.
Attention Avignon is a medieval city the streets are very narrow it's difficult to drive and to park into.
if you have not too much luggage my advice is:
when you are along the wall go to the next door "la porte du rocher" ( just after la porte de la ligne) and park your car in the Popes palace parking (parkings palais des papes) then you'll go out in front of the popes palace. you look the popes palace and go to your right corner there is the small street "rue de la peyrolerie" go down it until the "rue de la Banasterie" (on your left) 2 or 3 minutes from the parking
