Two things to be aware of:
This is not a hotel - it's a bed and breakfast. If you want lifts, swimming pools and spacious corridors then go elsewhere.
It has recently (last three months or so) changed hands and so some of the information...More
This was a great start to our holiday. The location is excellent, it makes you feel part of the place and the quaint roads with the beautiful balconies and iron is a pleasure for photography. This is a 16th century house, excusitely refurbished in an...More
The owner met us on our arrival, gave us a nice review of the area, a map and was very helpful throughout our stay. He made us several reservations and all his suggestions were right on. We stayed in the Trinatario room , one flight...More
We had 5 lovely days/nights at LaBanasterie. The rooms are 'different' so if you are looking for a traditional 'boring' room, look elsewhere. We found our room very comfortable - actually had two rooms. True, no elevator, we were only one level up so not...More
We are a USA based tour operator and book France accommodations regularly - this property fell very short of our expectations and we will not book our clients here again. This is a 2 star accommodation at best. We have tried on several occasions to...More

direction : Leave the highway A7 to the extit "Avignon nord" then follow the signs "avignon centre" drive along ramparts (the Rhone (river) on your right) enter in the city by the door "Porte de la ligne" (follow the yellow sign la mirande) and turn immediately on your right "rue des remparts de la
ligne" when this street turn on the left you are "rue de la
Banasterie", we are to N°11.
Attention Avignon is a medieval city the streets are very narrow it's difficult to drive and to park into.
if you have not too much luggage my advice is:
when you are along the wall go to the next door "la porte du rocher" ( just after la porte de la ligne) and park your car in the Popes palace parking (parkings palais des papes) then you'll go out in front of the popes palace. you look the popes palace and go to your right corner there is the small street "rue de la peyrolerie" go down it until the "rue de la Banasterie" (on your left) 2 or 3 minutes from the parking
alls informations with photos on the web site of La Banasterie.
