The pictures are indicative but certainly don’t do the property justice, it’s even better in person. From the warm greeting from Olivier the room was quintessial French, the gardens an unexpected oasis. So thoughtfully & intentionally decorated. Highly recommend this B & B, you will not be disappointed. Olivier & Laurence treat you as guests in their home, not customers. Enjoy!
We weren’t sure how we’d like Avignon, but based on reviews, I was certain we’d love this B&B, and we weren’t disappointed! The taxi dropped us at the end of a very narrow street, and I passed the address, in awe that a B&B could exist on this street. But we found it easily after we realized we’d gone too far. Olivier greeted us immediately and gave us a rundown of the area. He has perfect English, and bent over backwards to ensure our stay was superb. He made dinner reservations for two of the most fantastic restaurants we experienced during our 2 week stay in various parts of France. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to this little oasis!
We came to this b&b straight from a 5-star wonderful hotel in Carcassonne, so my first thought was that it wasn’t in the same league, but of course that’s a dumb comparison. Evaluating it on the basis of B&B stays, I’m happy to give the Jardins a solid 5. The building itself and the rooms are well-furnished and equipped - sure there are some quirks, but only those you would expect to find in a building with some history. The location is excellent, quiet but close to restaurants. The value for money was very good. The real highlights were the garden as well as the interactions with the owner, Olivier, who went out of his way to be genuinely helpful (we did not meet Laurence on this trip). The garden was a superb oasis of tranquility, and if you miss your cat as we did, Minette deserves more than an honourable mention! We had a great stay, and I would certainly recommend les Jardins.…
We were warmly welcomed by the host Olivier. From the first second we felt comfortable and at home. He showed us everything and advised us with excursion tips. He did everything to make you feel comfortable. A highlight was the large garden with pool. The accommodation is extremely centrally located in Avignon and when you enter the garden, you are in a green oasis - almost in another world. The room (number 3) was beautiful. Very sweetly furnished and with many beautiful details. One felt very comfortable. It was very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. From the room you have a beautiful view of the garden. The breakfast gives you a great variety of fresh delicious bread, fresh fruits (strawberries, apples) and fresh cheese and ham. They are all regional and very tasty products. Breakfast can be taken in the most beautiful garden of all Avignon. If we come to Avignon again (and we definitely will), we will go back to Les Jardins de Baracane B&B Avignon without thinking twice. It was perfect.…
I just loved my stay at this boutique hotel. My room was very clean and well appointed. I felt very comfortable and slept like a baby. The owners are lovely people and very helpful. Olivier told me everything I needed to know about the best attractions to visit and the best restaurants. I really appreciated their personalized service and attention to every detail. When I return to Avignon, I would only stay at Les Jardins de Baracane.
