A real "foot of the slopes" establishment. Its major asset is above all its central location on the snow front with direct access to the ski slopes, to the ESF meeting point or, in the summer season, to the numerous hiking trails and to the Isola municipal outdoor swimming pool, which is open in July and August. At the Pas du Loup, holidaymakers looking for peace and quiet will be won over: hiking in the heart of a preserved nature or simply sunbathing comfortably on a deckchair on our terrace while sipping a cocktail... Here everything is conducive to relaxation and release!

Hotel is very basic, with very dark rooms, most staff were very friendly, especially reception who were most helpful. Some of the restaurant staff not so. Bar and restaurant very lacking in atmosphere. Good for ski in/out. Cleanliness - ok.

Good hotel, friendly staaf and excellent location at the slopes Great breakfast and possibility to prepare lunch packages. Room are not new but good enough and clean. We had a nice balcony as well. Did not tried the pool yet. Also open for dinner with a reasonable selection of food and a ok housewine included, 3- course all at 24 euro pp.

Stayed for 3 nights all inclusive on a ski trip with friends. Nice clean hotel and decent room with comfortable beds. Staff were freindly and attentive. Highlight of the hotel was the food which was very good with plenty of choice. Also a good choice of drinks, the all inclusive wine was very good and the beer was kronenburg which was nice. Hotel location was right in the middle of the resort so you can ski straight from the hotel to the ski lifts. Resort was great with a good variety of slopes for all levels. Really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a budget ski holiday.

Tiny room and this was our view for a week. Apparently unless you pay for a superior room (none available) this is the best they can do. Unfortunately this was not what was shown in the brochure or I would never have come here. Depressed.

I hope this review might get them extra staff . Whilst all staff were happy to multi skill there comes a point when there are only so many hours in the day. The resort could not be better placed When you are able to ski out from the decking of the lower ground floor what could be better than that !! Lots for those learning skiing as well as a few challenging runs for the advanced skiers. Mountain wise a great location.

I really don't understand some of the negative reviews about this hotel, they offer a great deal that for me surpasses what you pay for. We went on a school ski trip, so we arrived as a big group - however all the check in details had been pre done so when we arrived it was simply a matter of them handing out envelopes with our room keys in, so we were all done in a couple of minutes. We had booked a room for 5 people and whilst we could all sleep in there, with only one cupboard, there was absolutely no room for us to put all of our stuff, so we asked if there was any chance we could have an additional room, the lady at reception explained that as it was a Saturday night they had full occupancy so there was nothing they could do, however on Sunday it shouldn't be a problem, so the next night we were given an additional room 2 doors down. I thought this was absolutely fantastic customer service, above and beyond what they needed to do - they could have simply said "no". The food is buffet style and there is plenty of choice to keep everyone happy, and they even generously supplied food containers and baguette bags so that you could make yourself a picnic to take away if you wanted to stay on the slopes all day - or in our case something for lunch for waiting around at the airport. Their meat stews and desserts were exceptionally good. The bar area has a couple of machines where you can help yourselves to hot drinks and cold soft drinks during the day and into the evening and a barman on hand should you want something stronger. However you are not allowed in the bar area with ski boots, so if they want a tip for the future they really should look into either changing their policy on this or building a little drinks station on the terrace for the convenience of the guests who like to stop off for a few minutes during the day. The staff were all very pleasant and did everything they could to make our stay more enjoyable and with a facility to ski in and ski out I'd highly recommend people stay here for a very affordable ski holiday (the only time I put my hand in my pocket all week was to buy a few snacks from the supermarket) As an aside, if you want to rent skis - the Skiset shop in the arcade was brilliant, the skis were good and they gave me boots which for the first time didn't give me any pain in my feet, my son broke a pole and it was no problem - we wanted to rent out snowscoots and they were not only cheaper than the other outlets, they gave us a 20% discount for already being customers, but on one day the weather was so bad that we returned them after one run and explained that it was too dangerous for us to use them so they said we could just take them out on another day for free as we'd already paid for that session, again some fantastic customer service.

The good bit: Location... this hotel is in the perfect location. Great for a base camp and linked to everything you need. Ski hire next door and some really nice restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. Wasn't allowed to check in until after 16:00 but that wasn't a problem as it gave us a chance to explore the area. When we finally got into the room, it was nice and clean but a little 'compact' for a couple on a ski holiday with 2 cases and the free mini bar contained a can of Pepsi and a bottle of water. Oh and we only had 1 towel in the bathroom so I hunted the halls and had one off the trolly. Breakfast was good with enough selection of nice food. Unfortunately... Now the bad parts. Parking, We arrived Saturday around lunchtime and couldn't get anywhere close to the hotel. Literally had to park the other side of Isola 2000 and walk with cases for about 20-25 minutes. The area around the hotel is a bit chaotic to put it nicely. Check in took nearly 30 minutes as the poor girl on reception was working alone but when we eventually got into our room we just wanted to grab a shower and freshen up (with our 1 towel)... Nope. No hot water! Another 20 minute wait at reception, was told it would be back on in an hour. One hour later, still no hot water. Went out for dinner un-showered after a day of traveling, got back to the room around 21:00... still no hot water. Another walk back to reception, was told it would be back on in another hour with no explanation about why it was off. Guess what... it never came back on. Up until 23:00 that night, No hot water. We went to bed feeling dirty and really disappointed. Woke the next morning, tested the water... ice cold. After another trip to reception, was actually told it was the whole hotel and that it would be back on that day as the boiler had 'tripped out' but been reset. So off we went for a days skiing. At 16:00 came back to the hotel for a nice hot shower... Yep you've guest it. No hot water. Enough was enough... I asked to speak to the manageress who basically just laughed at me and told me it was the whole hotel and there was nothing she could do. I had better customer service and an apology from the Maintenance guy who was very apologetic. The Manageress just stood outside smoking whilst there was a queue at reception. When she returned I asked to change rooms as another english guy told me he had slightly warm water on the first floor. We where moved rooms but the water was still too cold to wash or shower until the next morning. So basically 2 days without a shower. Not great for a ski resort. Not great that they couldn't arrange something with a neighbouring hotel. There were a lot of unhappy guests, but at least we had a nice scenic walk back to the car to look forward to. Nice and clean hotel. Great location, just a shame the trip was spoilt because we couldn't actually wash and feel clean. The 'wet wipe shower' brought back the Glasto memories! I can accept things like this happen but it shouldn't take 2 days to fix hot water. We checked out and took the long walk back to the car feeling disappointed (but clean). We will be back in Isola 2000 next year as the resort is fantastic for skiing but not at this hotel.
