Great sea views, used to be a home to a old Russian countess (which is really cool since I'm 1/2 Russian) , and had really good costumer service. They also spoke really good English. Bus out front brings you directly to Airport or into the Old Town.

Horrible experience. Our hotel room had a terrible smell that permeated the room at night...like sewage from the drain. No wonder hotel door to the balcony was slightly open upon arrival! For fresh air! beds the worst ever. Hard, old and...well, very very old, dirty. Rotting wood on doors to balcony. Walls paper thin. They did have a flat screen... More

Nice, 2+ star inset 1/2 block off the Promenade de Anglais. Sea and promenade view. Comfortable rooms; good breakfast in garden. Older hotel but there is no street noise from the promenade. Sleep with windows open. Best value in the area. Short walk to Nice centre.

Got a bad recommendation. In fairness the reception staff were nice, and there was a nice view. But that's about the only good thing to say about this place! It is REALLY run down, we were lucky enough to get a room with an "en-suite". The rooms were decrepid, paint flaking everywhere, holes cut in wall paper, the bed was... More

Close to airport by the bus. The presentation of the property and room on the official website is rather misleading. Pictures do not correspond to the actual product. Although it is an ex villa of a russian douchesse, the building is accordingly old. Beds are too short and rather small for a couple. Good value on the non complementary breakfast... More

Positive: the service was very good, friendly personal, for a 2-stars-hotel the room was big (we got a room with sea view, 1 double bed and 2 single beds), the bathroom had a nice size, the air conditioning is very silent and works very good, the hotel is very near of the beach (it's very nice to walk there), near... I lived in Monaco and my cousin was at the University of Nice in the 70s, so I know Nice and the Promenade des Anglais very well. My French cousin actually recommended this hotel to me. He and his spouse stay there every year and take an ocean view room. I took the cheapest back view and was perfectly fine!!!... More

The hotel has been remodeled on the second floor and part of the first. The staff was very attentive and ready to help at any occasion. This was my first time staying in this hotel and I can't wait to go back soon. The breakfast in the garden (or in the room) was just great. The coffee, and especially the... More

This establishment is very run down. Windows don't close properly and paint is peeling off the walls. Furniture is tatty. The communal toilets (not all rooms are fully en-suite) are dirty and constantly running out of toilet paper. Rooms facing the Promenade des Anglais are very noisy, though this is not the fault of the hotel. We were stuck in... More

Friendly, helpful staff, great location, great views, BUT the lobby is dirty and uncared for: dirty dishes on the patio tables for the 24 hours we were there, cob webs full of dead flies in the light fixtures,....and our room, (room 8): no hot water, rotting baseboards, 1 foot squares of peeling paint on the walls and over our heads... “We had a garden room at the side which is probably quieter than the rooms at the front with sea view. We could still see the sea though!”

“We did not get a sea view room, but I imagine the general shabbiness of the furnishings was the same in all rooms. Even with a "sea view" it would be a rather limited view.”
