The most charming, fabulous little hotel in the whole of Nice. We love every inch of this hotel, including the owners! Situated a stones throw from the Promenade d’Anglais and the beach, surrounded by the best bars and restaurants, Le Meurice has everything you’d ever need for the perfect stay. Our room was gorgeous, with a balcony overlooking the charming street. Comfortable bed, mini fridge and well appointed bathroom all add to the charm of the room. Big bonus is the lift to all floors. We return early next year, our home away from home and our happy place.

Hotel Le Meurice has a great location on a quiet road, just a few minutes walk from the Promenade des Anglais and an easy walk to the historical centre of the city. The hotel is small and features Art Deco styling. The staff are very friendly, and there is an elevator up to the rooms. We arrived during a heatwave and were thankful for the in-room air conditioner. We stayed in a room at the back of the hotel and at nighttime it was really quiet and we had no trouble sleeping. The bathroom was surprisingly large and included a shower. Breakfast is served in the tiny lobby but there is no need to pay for breakfast at the hotel because there are numerous excellent options nearby. For example, the Bio-coop Nice Grimaldi offers fantastic organic breads, fruit, yoghurts, et cetera, and the cafe called Maison Celine Patisserie serves delicious pastries and coffee. Both are within a one-minute walk from the hotel. For dinner, there is an overwhelming range of restaurants close by. The problem with the hotel is that there is a major construction site in the rear. The noise of cranes and jackhammers and the deep vibrations that shake the room continue on and off throughout the day. If you intend to spend most of the daytime out sightseeing this should not be a problem. At some point the construction will end. Overall, we had a great experience at Hotel Le Meurice and would happily stay here again.

Was a good small French hotel years ago, but no more. Street outside and buildings all round the hotel are under construction and building sites, with a crane outside our room window. Hotel should be closed until all the development and works are finished or at least mention on the hotel and TA web sites.

Hotel Meurice turned out to be the best of five hotels that we stayed in throughout France. During my initial look at the hotel online I was skeptical due to the perceived quirkiness of the property, trying to balance price against comfort. Upon arrival we ran into a major construction project happening a building or two away, with loud jackhammering; and were forced to detour the long way around due to the street being blocked by construction equipment. No one is encouraged to find this right next to their hotel. If notification was sent me about this I never read it, but I think it is fair to let other people know about it. Once we got into our room, which was street-facing, there was really no noise at all. While we could hear some noise within the hotel, from other guests, we didn't hear anything from the construction or from the many restaurants and foot traffic in the vicinity. We slept pretty well the three nights that we stayed. The decor of our room was unique and interesting, not at all your average room with four white walls. Same with the bathroom fixtures. I'd encourage people to look at the pictures. The design was creative, which I liked. The only thing about the room that I did not like was the absence of reading lights beside the bed, the overall lighting of the room was adequate for visibility but poor for reading. Like many French hotels, the available accommodations are quite cramped. I was amused at the breakfast served in the tiny lobby, but looked at from another perspective the crew at Hotel Meurice really pack a lot of services into the small building that they occupy. I didn't opt for the breakfast, so I can't evaluate its quality. There are plenty of breakfast and general dining options all around. The hotel is one block away from the promenade along the Mediterranean, another major plus for us. Well done, Hotel Meurice.

After 3 years we were so glad to be back at Le Meurice. The owners are like family to us, they make us so welcome and we wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else. Yards from the beach, yards from the Promenade d’Anglais and surrounded by bars and cafes this little boutique hotel is in the perfect position for exploring beautiful Nice. Our stay was just perfect, thank you all so much, and hurry up next year so we can return!

I stayed in a junior suite and could not have been happier. Firstly the room was large and well furnished, with plenty of room and good amenities. It was in a brilliant position, close to the old city, good restaurants and coffee shops, transport, braces and anything needed. The staff were always available to help and although I didn't breakfast in the hotel it looked good and better than a four star hotel that I later stayed in. Definitely worthwhile staying

The room was good, although the spa bath didn’t work. The location of the hotel was very good, but construction next door that started early in the morning so had to keep the windows closed. The construction will go on for a long time still. The lady at the reception was very grumpy and not helpful. Breakfast was in the cramped reception area and quite minimal. Breakfast in any of the nice terraces around the corner is much nicer
