We have just returned from a perfect stay at Hotel Villa La Tour, the staff and management are very hospitable and our stay was perfect in every way possible. Hotel Villa La Tour is very clean, very comfortable and comes highly recommended from us. The location is perfect, set in the heart of the old town, the tram stop is...

The location was fantastic at the top of the old town with a lovely walk through old town to the beach (6-8 minutes). The staff were ALWAYS welcoming and friendly, speaking English and French. The breakfast petit dejeuner (buffet style) had a full range of cereals, rolls, coffee, teas, yogurt, and juices. Our room was comfy and relaxed with funky...

Great pictures of the lobby/bar/restaurant that looked good in person. However, our room smelled like paint, there was dust everywhere, the room was dirty and the floor was slanted (higher on one side and lower on the other). No minibar or fridge. No bathtub, but a small dirty bathroom. However, it is in a great location close to the Vielle...

Found this place online and its in the old part of Nice down a side street near everything. Perfect location. 20 min from airport, 35 euros for cab. Hotel is dated, small and worn but not at all dirty. I felt very safe and loved the place. Only downside we had was there wasn't any elevator. Other than that, choose...

We stayed for a week and got a very good deal on their webpage (6 nights for the price of 4, which wasn't available on Expedia, Booking.com and similar). The Vaco room we stayed in was quiet and big enough for two. The only minor grumble was that towels hadn't been left in the room but this was quickly sorted...

We booked this place very last minute- and didn't pay very much to be honest, we had been travelling around France and wanted to put our heads down for the night. But all I ask for is somewhere clean- however this was not, the bathroom was full of flies and an assortment of bugs flying around everywhere. The cleaner from...

I had a night on my own in Nice. Picked this hotel as it was recommended on the Nice forum. Great advice! I took the 98 bus from T1 at the airport and the hotel is almost the last stop. It was easy to spot the hotel from the bus despite it being down a side street. Had room 209...

I stayed here with my wife in the summer of 2015. The location is excellent, right in the middle of the Old Town and just a 5 minutes walk to the Promenade. Just a 2 mins walk to the bus stand, so very convenient if you are taking a bus from the airport. The tram station is also just a...

This hotel has a great location and best of all was air conditioned. The room was like being in a guest room of a french family. Clean comfortable . Bath was good size and very clean. Only draw back was no life.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at VLT, and it was very pleasant indeed. The hotel is situated on the Old Town, and we found the narrow passageways were great fun to explore. If you like walking, it's perfectly located, just a few minutes to the port and seafront. The hotel itself is in an old building, and has...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel where you will be staying during your visit to Nice is conveniently located, din the historic section of Old Nice, between Place Masséna and Place Garibaldi, bordering the Promenade du Paillon, which stretches as far as the beaches, and within walking distance from the various points of interest in the heart of town. Crowned by the Saint-François Tower (built in the 18th century to provide a steeple to the Franciscan monastery, then in the 19th-c., the City of Nice added a clock, now the tallest building in the city), Hôtel Villa La Tour is a charming spot with a stunning intimate setting designed to make you feel right at home. At Villa La Tour, you'll meet lovers, businessmen, athletes and actors, all here to seek out the charms of Southern France and Old Nice, the nearby seaside, nature, shops, outstanding restaurants, Theatres, Opera Convention venues (Acropolis), des museums (MAMAC, Chagall, Matisse and more). Here, you're at the centre of it all! This cosy boutique hotel has only 17 guestrooms, which are often full, so it is indispensable to book as early as possible. ... more   less
