The hotel is small but excellent: just the two higher floors of a building, and it has less than 20 rooms. There is no restaurant and the lobby is not huge. The rooms however are big enough to be comfortable. We booked a room with terrace and were really amazed to find a huge balcony (maybe 3 x 1.5 m2)... More

Great 2* hotel room with a balcony where we ate breakfast in the sun. Biggest challenge coping with the tiny lift. Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed glorious sunshine. Good food at the Lodge restaurant round the corner. Surprised to get aircon and a fridge in the room.

Same fantastic service and accommodation. Simple, clean with many needed details- ask for a kettle, dishes, corkscrew etc. They were always happy to help with everything from necessities to bus routes. There is 114 stairs (you can take the lift but it is little), but for us young(isa) and (reasonably) fit, it was fine. :) The location is second to... More

Overall this gorgeous hotel within minutes of the beach and Promenade in Nice was the perfect way to end our European holiday! Location: This hotel is situated in a beautiful old building and is secured by a code entry, which the helpful staff at Solara inform you of prior to arrival. Once inside, to get to the hotel on the... More

We had a 10 day stay at Hotel Solara as we attended 2 Euro 2016 Games. We arrived way too early to check-in (9:30 am, due to flight), but the service was great from the beginning. We buzzed to get in, and as we arrived at the elevator - barely before we could read the sign to say it was... More

We recently stayed in Hotel Solara, the rooms were basic but extremely clean and well presented. The location only one block back from the Promenade, and right in the centre of Nice made it perfect. There is no breakfast provided, but the area is full of cafes and restaurants which allow you to sit out in the sun and eat... More

Minor inconvenience with pass codes and non functioning lift when I arrived (and Hotel is on the fourth floor), but really enjoyed staying here. Friendly greeting, nice room with a modern bathroom and large terrace overlooking the pedestrian zone of Rue de France. Just out the door and you are in the middle of everything, and a short walk to... More

Very small hotel with a little bit of an Airbnb vibe. The hotel is located on the top floor of a charming apartment building. Note: building has a very small elevator (approx. 2' x 4' ft.). If you and your partner/luggage do not fit, the staircase is worth the price of admission.....The Rooms are small ('triple' room at the end... More

Hotel Solara is a very simple hotel in Nice. Good location and although not expensive, you should better pay a bit more for more comfort somewhere else. Bedding, towels and bathroom are clean, but the floor is too filthy to risk walking barefooded. Service is restricted to an absolute minimum; no roomservice (except for breakfast, served in the room) and... More

Small and very nice hotel located central in Nice. Short walk to the seaside and old town. Recommend to order the breakfast delivered to the room, and to enjoy it at the veranda. Lovely view of the rooftops of Nice. Would definitely come again.
