We made a reservation on Booking.com We turned up late at night to find the place has been closed for some time. Business owners opposite said it has been closed for a while. Do not make a reservation at this place. Luckily booking.com will reimburse our expenses

Restaurant is very limited, tries to be super fancy, takes the expensive part of fancy, and forgets they should make above average food mildly warm piece of overpriced, small fish Cooked a piece of beef well done (isnt that a crime in France?) incredibly basic salad The view is great, the service is average, but the food and prices, man, dont go to this place!

Booked through a leading hotel in Monte Carlo. Took 40 mins to get a menu despite asking a couple of times. We had our 2 children and asked for water/ bread for the table only to wait longer and when it came, the rude waiter just offered it to 2 of us. Paid for the water and left. Worst service experience so far!!! Great views but not at the cost of such terrible service ! Not acceptable in this day and age.

Extremely patronising, arrogant, and not helpful manager. The room was as stinky as a drain and he had the brilliant idea of spraying chemical stuff to cover the smell. That caused eye and throat irritation. He was not client oriented at all. The most miserable hotel experience ever in 25 years of travelling around world.

We dined at Les Deux Freres recently. We have been regular clients of the restaurant pre Covid for years and always enjoyed the welcome and the quality of the service delivered by Willem and his team. We had a booking for 4 and when we arrived, the table was only set for 3. We asked for bread and were given butter that sat on the table for 20 mins and got the bread way later. We chose a wine from the menu only to be told by the manager that the wine was not stocked anymore as he prefers to source his own wine. Why not but why list the other wine on the menu?! The menu was quite strange considering the restaurant is in the heart of the Cote d’Azur! Why serve lychees and coco milk instead of focusing on French classics. This would make a lot more sense. The beef was chewy, need I go on? All in all, we sorely missed Willem and his impeccable client service and fine food.

The dinner experience at the restaurant “les deux frères “ was an exquisite experience and I strongly recommend the detour. The view is fascinating , the food refined and the service extremely warm with 2 brothers continuously interacting with their customers and always attentive to all the requests and details. I highly recommend.

We loved this hotel, especially it’s situations with views sweeping across the Cote D’azur. The room was comfortable and the hotel restaurant is lovely. The staff were friendly and went out of the way to make sure you had a nice time. Looking forward to coming back here one day :)

We went to this hotel’s restaurant which has a charming view and the food was quite good, no doubt. However i specifically mentioned that my young daughter has deadly nut allergies and that they should be extremely careful about any “type of nut”. The waiter assured me! That there were no nuts in the desert - several times. Sure enough, my daughter stops breathing and i eventually have to inject her the epipen and go to some strange (but wonderful - thk you extremely professional french ambulance team and lady doctor in Menton, everyone should be so lucky. We love you). So back to the idiot chef. He tells me that there were no nuts only almonds!!!!!! Which is even worse than peanuts for her btw. Apparently there is a distinction in france and almonds are technically a “fruit a coque”. Still, one would think that ANYONE with a functional brain would at least warn a customer. Perhaps i’m being unfair but i dont think so.

Response from argenthal, Directeur général at Les Deux Freres
Responded 14 Nov 2019
Dear customer, Thank you or taking the time to write to us. We deeply apologise about what happened that evening to your daughter... Our waiter indeed asked the chef at several occasions if there were any nuts in the dishes, and he was told several times that there were none. There is indeed a slight distinction in France between the "nuts" and the "fruits à coque", but we have to admit that the chef did not use his brain at all that evening. So you are not being unfair at all, he is to be blamed in this situation. It is indeed lucky that your daughter was dealt with by a great ambulance team and doctor. We inform you that the chef of the restaurant, who served you and who had been with us since many years back, is no longer part of the team, and has been replaced by a new one with a total different approach to the cuisine, with a lot of dedication and attention to detail. We can unfortunately not change what happened that evening and the past, but we strongly deplore the situation, and would like to try to make up for it a little by inviting your family back to Les Deux Frères for a full 3-course dinner with wine and drinks for your daughter at any time at your convenience in the course of 2020. You just have to send us an email, reminding us of who you are, and we will be please to welcome you under the above terms. Best regards, Christian Les Deux Frères Management info@lesdeuxfreres.com

We went to LDF again following a recent visit and were pleased to report the same combination of fine food and good service set in an excellent location, looking across the bay to Monaco. We opted for the hours du plat which came with half a bottle of wine each and the total bill was less than 70 euros, which was very good value. Highlights of the food were the salmon fillet, which was perfectly cooked, and the chocolate pudding, (to die for!). Perhaps the duck may have benefited from a sauce, but it was moist and full of flavour and this is just a personal view. It did seem.a bit odd to have Barry White playing on repeat in the background but the ambience was friendly and relaxed. Perfect Sunday lunch; we had a look round the medieval fort and the local market afterwards and the whole place, (just a short train ride from Nice), was welll worth the visit.

Cannot help on the hotel as I never stayed there, but the patio dining and its magnificent view is worth a must visit. The village setting is beautiful, the view to the Cap locks your eyes to it. Great prefix menu with great choices of wines and wonderful services.
