My wife and I stayed at this hotel recently. I am suprised that nobody here on TA mentioned the noise from the road at this property. The hotel is located on a busy road with cars, trucks, mopeds and motor bikes passing - most accelerating as the hotel is on a bit of a hill. Its very noisy all day...

We have just returned from a stay in Villefranche-sur-Mer where we stayed at the Bahia Vista. Having been warned not to read the reviews before we left I arrived with an open mind. Unfortunately I have to agree that the reception staff are not the most polite people in the world, but I found the rest of the staff to...

The Bahia Vista is clean, reasonably priced (for the area), safe, and reasonably comfortable. In France, 3 stars seems to mean that you get a bathroom acceptable to Americans. The BV would receive 1 or 2 stars from the AAA guide. And yet, it's appropriately priced, given the area. We had a garden view room on the 3rd floor. The...

I and 4 Irish friends stayed at this hotel from 2nd to 9th Oct 2005. We had nice comfortable large rooms, its a pity breakfast costs extra but it was very adequate and the view is breathtaking. We found the staff friendly and the hotel quiet at night. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. It is a...

My family and I visited the sea side town of Villefranche, France (outside Nice) in late August this year. Upon arrival at our hotel, the BW Bahia Vista, we were greeted with a man at the front desk who was fluent in neither French nor English. I am a French teacher in Canada and he could not seem to communicate...

This is the worst hotel we ever booked - after wasting two hours looking for it we arrived well after check-in time and were given keys to a dirty room, we were then given a second key only to find that this room had not been cleaned from the previous guests either- after this happened for an unbelievable third time...

We stayed in the Best Western Bahia for one night whilst touring the Riviera, in the height of their tourist season. I am not the type to usually write reviews, but of all seven hotels that we stayed in along the Cote d'Azure, I felt compelled to warn fellow travellers about visiting this hotel: 1. On arrival after check-in time,...

We stayed here in May of 2004 and cut our trip short because of certain factors that were, in fairness, beyond the hotel's control. Mainly: 1) Although there was allegedly beach access, the hotel was well above sea level and not close to the beach. We didn't even attempt the stairs or go to the beach during our stay, which...

What a terrible hotel! I returned from this place yesterday June 8th '04. Best Western should really take time to consider if they want to include this "hotel" on their books. Don't take any notice of the photos' - there are no cushions for the sunbeds around the pool. There is the most terrible smell of gas on the roof...
