This charming and friendly hotel is very central and close to the theatre. Set in a pretty square it provides a haven of tranquillity after a long journey. The rooms are decent and clean and the breakfast is plentiful if somewhat limited for choice. A quiet setting, ideal for exploring this wonderful region.

This is a lovely City Centre Hotel. When your inside it feels like your in the country side. The owner checked us in and she was very professional and helpful. Our room was well equipped and very clean. Breakfast was a delight, you can sit inside or out side. Plenty of fresh produce and cheese to choose from. You are... More

A lovely, quirky little hotel, nestled away in a quiet part of town. The hotel is in an old town building, with wonky stairs and odd shaped rooms - some with large old fireplaces and nooks and niches in the walls. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and provied an excellent breakfast. Good restaurant choices nearby, and very interesting... More

amazing town with a lot of history.. The amphitheatre is a must visit. The road train is good value too, however the tour is only in French. Great choice of restaurants but can be expensive so check 1st. I want to go back and see something in the amphitheatre.. and for the kids at the moment its a great place... More

Can't fault this hotel. The owners are really friendly and helpful. It's a great location on a little square yards from the theatre. Our room (at the very top of the building) was spacious and well equipped - and had a separate loo cubicle and bathroom! - and most importantly had a really comfy bed. Good wifi connection as well.... More

Nice couple running it, hotel very well situated. The hotel reserved parking for us and recommended nice restaurants. Having said that, they were a bit strict. There were no other clients, at least we did not see any, but it was important to check out 11 o clock and not 11.30 etc... No coffee in bed..... but I did get... More

This hotel has one main advantage - it is based in the city centre, literally just a stones throw from the main Roman theatre. The room we stayed in was small, but the staff were friendly and we had a great breakfast.

We stayed one night in room 14 in the sleepy town of Orange, I say sleepy compared to numerous other French cities we visited over 15 days. We were able to park not a one minute walk away from the hotel. You couldn't ask for a better location, right in the heart of the historic area. The room was nice... More

A small and beautiful hotel where you feel like home. Our stay was in the last week of June. Weather was sunny and hot. We were met by the most welcoming and lovely couple who runs the hotel. Great service, very helpful and just fantastic people. AC in room was excellent too. We know where to stay for our next... More

We have gone to Orange for the Choregies d Orange (Opera Festival) for the last 10 year and throughout this time we always stayed at Hotel L Herbier d Orange as it is in a perfect location for the opera festival taking place in the Roman Theatre.
