Good location not too far from port area, but not on top of the general street activity. Rooms were clean and well appointed, with space and firm beds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Unlike most hotels the TV had a headphone socket, which allowed for quiet viewing while my partner rested. Road noise may be an issue for some at the front, and extractor noise at the back, when the window was open.

We stayed here every week (Mon-Thu) for over 6 months and needless to stay that this is the best hotel there is in Marseille for Business Travellers and Leisure (you are at a 5-10 minute walk from the best shopping malls, resturants and the largest cinema in Marseille!). We tried a lot of the other brands and the quality of the rooms, breakfast, dinner options and overall service is literally amazing and consistent throughout all the stays. The staff will always welcome you with a great smile and be the most helpful front desk agents you will have ever encountered.
A special thanks to Victor (the GM), who will go out of his way in every occasion to please his guests and make sure they are having the best possible stay. Also need to mention the commitment of Pablo and Paula at the front desk for their helpful attitude and all the good moments we were able to share with them.
Don't look any further, if you are travelling to Marseille this is your hotel!

We stayed 5 nights at this hotel: the room was quiet (overlooking the courtyard) - with windows which could be opened - large, bright and very clean (same for the bathroom). Breakfast was excellent, with enough space between tables (no crowd and hurry), and with a great variety of food & beverages. The reception staff was efficient and attentive and the general atmosphere of the hotel very pleasant and cool. Last but not least, the hotel is very convenient located, in a safe neighbourhood with tram and subway stops very close to it and a good choice of places to eat/drink nearby (@ La Joliette, Le Panier) and also to shop or buy food. I would stay again at NH Collection Marseille and recommend this place.

If you ever felt like attending a Covid party, this hotel is your place to go. Honestly, since the pandemic started, I have never been to a hotel which handled the situation that badly:
Already when checking in, we did see that half of the associates were wearing their mask barely over their mouth, not even speaking of the nose. There was no information given at any time about the measures the hotel asks the guests to adhere to. Also, nobody checked for any test or vaccination. Most guests didn’t wear any mask at all and nobody from staff asked them to do so.
The worst part by far is the breakfast, it was more a zoo than a relaxing way to start the day. Most guest and part of staff were not wearing masks at all or not correctly. The dishes were not properly cleaned as my cup had residue of egg in it. All food was open and not protected from spitting, even more an issue as mask rules were not enforced. Also, everybody served themselves and also some people touched the food directly without using a tong. The buffet looked like a warzone and our table was never cleared of used plates. Also other guests were loudly watching soccer on their phone and nobody from staff tried to keep the atmosphere pleasant for everybody else.
The hardware of the hotel apart from breakfast is ok. Bed were comfortable and the room spacious but room was poorly used. Our toilet was cramped behind the bathroom door, so if you have any mobility issues it will be difficult to us it comfortably.
Overall we would never return, as the hotel is a Covid hotspot where we felt never safe and comfortable. If you want to stay in a place where your health is important, don’t stay in this hotel.

We found this hotel to be fine, but forgettable. The location is good, short walk to the old town and port, and not far from the station, but be aware that it is on the intersection of 2 busy roads. We were on the mezzanine floor at the front in rooms 3 and 6, and my husband, who is a light sleeper, got very little sleep due to a combination of traffic, trams , music and people on the streets. I had my earplugs and slept well in a comfy bed . I enjoyed the breakfast and had a lovely shower in the modern bathroom. The check in process took longer than seemed necessary, but staff were friendly, especially the breakfast chef. The hotel has taken covid seriously and it felt a Very place to be. Overall though the hotel was a little lacking in character and not sure if I’d stay again. Completely impressed by Marseille though. Intriguing city on the most, a bit run down in places but a stunning coastline, great atmosphere and lovely food. We hired the plentiful electric scooters and went on a memorable sunset ride along the corniche, followed by a stroll around the port and a delicious dinner in the old town .

Good, clean hotel with extremely welcoming staff. Housekeeping however very poor. Laundry was left in the room for 3 days and no one collected it for washing. When i approached the reception, they informed me that laundry needs to be kept outside the room or handed over to the reception staff for washing. No such instructions were posted in the room and neither was i informed at the time of check in. The hand soap dispenser in the toilet does not work and no one bothers to fix it either.

Mixed feelings about the hotel. The staff were amazing and helpful! Can’t say enough nice things about them, especially the poor chap running the bar and restaurant almost single handedly one night! We were given an accessible room (we don’t need one) so the room was a bit uncomfortable with chair height toilet and awkward shower configuration. Our room faced a side street where we watched someone feed seagulls from his apartment window daily! Beds are a bit hard but pillows ranges from small and soft to larger and more stuffed to suit all tastes. The breakfast buffet wasn’t the best I’ve seen for this chain. If you go early, it’s better than waiting because they run out of food. The fitness room was on the sixth floor and it had a terrible smell as you expected the elevator to the room so we didn’t use the fitness room. The hotel location is good - 10 minute walk from port or shopping center, one mile from train station (10€ ride and well worth it!) Unfortunately not a lot of restaurants nearby so we ate at the hotel restaurant a couple of nights.

Very good hotel. The room was clean, fairly large and well furnished. We had a view of the city. There was a walk-in shower that was quite modern and functional. The bed was very comfortable. The reception staff was quite helpful.
The breakfast is not worth the price, in my opinion. Although fair for the amount of food provided, this looked not particularly typical of France and Marseille, especially for the cakes and croissants that were nothing special in honesty. Further, I personally do not like to get coffee from automated machines in hotels as they can taste rather watery, especially if going for a decaf option, plus there is no way to get a cappuccino done with non diary milk alternatives.
Given that there are a number of local patisseries, boulangeries, local cafés and even a Starbucks coffee at walking distance from the hotel, there are plenty of alternatives, some of which offer experience of local taste for the same price or less.
Hotel location is fantastic, as stated above very central, in a relatively safe area, at a short walk from main attractions, cafés, great restaurants, and just behind "le panier", and 10 mins walk to the port vieux.

4 nights here with wife, top floor 2-room suite was quite quiet, very clean and spacious.
Very friendly staff helped with every need!
Breakfast included lots of varieties for every taste. Bed could have been a little softer and pillows were a tad floppy as they often are in hotels. Very good bathroom with nice rain shower. I hope air conditioning can keep up during warm summer months.
Easy to walk to the center or take a tram or bus if you feel lazy. Enough shops around for small utilities you might need.

We stayed at NH Marseille Collection hotel from 1st October till this morning (reservation number on booking.com 2840547623).el.
On the night of our arrival, right after we checked in our room, I opened the window (which I later found out was supposed to be blocked, but was not) in order to close the window shutter. As soon as I touched it it lost balance and was about to fall down in the street. I managed to keep it up (at my own risk) and pulled it inside the room. It was clearly never been attached to the wall (as there were no holes and no screws in the wall) and always been just leaning on it. That was very dangerous for me while grabbing it and also could have seriously injured people walking in the street! You can immagine how surprised I was! I then called the reception and they sent a person to the room who just grabbed the shutter and took it away. Nobody even offered to replace our room.
After a while we found out there was a big red spot on the mattress, clearly visible under the sheet. We called again the reception. They told us to go downstairs to get another room key and they 'sent' us to another room.
We reached the other room and moved our baggage by ourself. The room was smaller and not as nice, but ok. However, as soon and we pulled down the bed sheets we found out, again, they were dirty with blood (as there was a clear red spot on the top sheet).
We called the reception for the third time and got another room. This time the bed was clean, but there was a sigarette butt on the windowsill. The whole thing took more than 1,5 hrs and we were tired so we decided to keep the room with the cigarette but without calling the reception again.
This is DEFINETELY NOT what you expect from 4 stars 'collection' hotel.
