Wonderful, first-rate bed and pillows. Aside from that, it was a glorified Motel, worn and badly needing a facelift. Convenient location right across from Marseille Staint Charles SNCF station. Breakfast was third rate, just nothing special. There is likely a better place to stay.

I will start off this review with what a challenge it was to get to this place. It is in the center of town across from the VERY busy train station. So apart from the congestion of lots of cars, motorcycles, taxis etc there are tonnes of pedestrians to contend with. The road we came into town on we drove by the place twice and got it on the third try. There is no place to park really, a couple of spots in front that were occupied so we parked where we thought the gate was to the secure parking and we were right so we left the car there and put it in the garage after check-in. Nice staff very helpful and courteous! The brunch was what you would expect quick easy and delish. My only complaint with the room is it was hot! The thermostat did not seem to be working so we had to open the window for cool air and at least the noise from the street stopped at some point. Apart from that a great central location and once the car was secure we used Uber to get around to see the sights, see more below for about that. A huge suggestion on how to navigate places in Marseille just take an Uber! The price was very affordable and saved a LOT of time. We used Uber to get to the cathedral, the basilica on the hill and Dante's skylounge later. Why? The streets are narrow, congested (insane was my word of choice) and the driver is local and knows his way around much better!

Great location, you just need to get out of the train station and it's there. Friendly and courteous staff, they let us leave our bags before check in time and after we check out so we are comfortably light while exploring the city. Comfortable room, it's all you need after a long day of exploring. Good breakfast to energize you to start your day.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Saint Charles overnight as a stop over, so as not to be late for embarking on a cruise the following morning. The hotel is directly opposite the Train / Bus station we got the bus from the airport which took about half an hour. The staff were friendly and approachable nothing was too much trouble. Our room was on the 6th floor which was spotlessly clean with a great view over the city. We had a great nights sleep & breakfast was continental with a good variety of choice. We wandered down to the old port which took around 15 minutes, where there are plenty of restaurants & cafe's on the front. Reception staff arranged a taxi for us to get to the ships terminal which is about a 15 minute drive.

Nice hotel, close to the cruise port and easy to get to the airport. Rooms had what was needed for the trip. Food was ok, we just had to pickup food late in the evening locally, which was ok. Just have to be aware of your surroundings when walking around.

Booked a room as this hotel was conveniently located across the road from the railway station. Expensive (160€ a night) but in addition my room was not super clean, almost the impression that someone had slept there the night before, and on top of that the breakfast is not good at all: coffee is terrible, the coffee machine is well passed it’s sell-by date, food is low quality frankly for a hotel in France at that price it is very disappointing. I will not use it again

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, not expecting much from a hotel chain. The location near the train station ideal for an overnight stay and onward train journey. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. One lady gave me excellent directions to the restaurant I wanted for my dinner. To her, I say thank you so much and apologies for not getting your name. This is the only hotel in nearly three weeks of travel that has granted my request for quiet and a high floor. I had made my reservations months in advance and it was gratifying to see that acknowledged. Thank you. The aircon does work and very well too. You just have to press the button several times until the snowflake shows. The breakfast has a very wide variety and the cut fruit selection was again better than other hotels on this trip. The quality for some of the hot food ie the scrambled eggs should be improved. But that is a small negative. A very pleasant and unexpected surprise. I will stay here again and recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Excellent location for arrival by train or bus directly from the airport being right opposite train station. We felt that walking to various parts of town was just about right. We were fortunate to book one of the few terrace rooms – we were fortunate to get the one advertised, looks like there are a couple more but located on the side rather than the back. Sadly plenty of rain did not allow us much access to it! The room was a very good size but the bathroom was a little cramped but it did have plenty of storage space – if you include the shelve in the toilet area. The bed CREAKED when getting into it but we slept OK. Breakfast had a very good if you had the continental selection – we avoided the scrambled egg and “sausages” as we do enjoy them very hot. There was a dangerous lamp on the terrace floor that needs attention and the canopy needs rubbish removing from it. Otherwise a very good stay indeed

An excellent hotel from top to bottom. First of all they are in a great location. Right across the street from the St. Charles train station. You can take a nonstop bus from the Marseille Airport to the train station for 10 Euro. Hotel is very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. Metro is right across the street and it is 2 stops to the old port. We walked down and took the metro back. Help at the desk was excellent. Multiple restaurants and a grocery store are very close.

I picked this hotel because it was across the street from the St. Charles Train/bus station! The hotel is very nice, clean, and the front desk staff is extremely helpful with directions and any thing else needed. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. Lots of choices, cereals, eggs, meat, breads, etc. Very nice! Rooms are a bit small, but tourists are out touring, so size not a problem. Nice bedding and very clean!
