THE GOOD: Location, probably, it's location is what this hostel stands out. Near the port and the Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde. There's also a Lidl store in the next street (left side) THE BAD: Small kitchen, and you also to take the stairs to your room. Pretty old building, but the room is nice (5-bedroom). The receptionists were helpful and nice, but based...

It is safe, the staff is friendly and the place in clean. You have locker, 2 plugs in near your bed. The public space of the hostel is pretty nice, in both blocks. The location is superb and probably the biggest selling point of this hostel, you can walk to the basilica on hill very easily. 3-5 mins to Vieux...

Hi, Sorry you were cold, you should have come to tell us though. Of COURSE we have heaters in the room and we can choose a temperature for every single room. If you don't let us know, we cannot do anything about it. We also have 24h reception, so even in the middle of the night, we could have done...

The Hostel was not far from the "city" but you had to walk for a couple of minutes to Get There. If you like hookah, there is a hookah bar literally 5 feet away. Hard rock café just a 2 minute walk. The Hostel was a OK place to be. The room we had seemed to be a little old,...

I will start off by saying that the breakfast has very limited options and the walls are pretty thin so you can hear just about anything said over a normal speaking volume. Bathrooms ad shower were really clean and nice though. The staff here were super cool and nice! Had a fun 30 minute conversation with one of the receptionists....

It was an okay hotel. Was not a big fan of the fact that I had to walk downstairs with a bad leg just to use the bathroom. Yes it is a good way to avoid noise, but it is not good for someone with an injured leg.

The place is in the center of all the must see in Marseille... Just about five minute walk from vieux port metro, slightly hidden so it's great to do a research and ask. My reminder is the Hard Rock Cafe and go up the stairs from there and a little walk to the left. Very affordable and comfy room even...

I have stayed in a room for 4. The beds were really good and the 2 floor room with toillet and shower downstairs was good to avoid noise. The kitchen on the B building was also really good if you like to cook.

Spend only one Friday night. Very nice place, super close to the port. They serve a nice breakfast, they have free wifi and free computers with Internet, the rooms and toilets were very clean. The space between beds was wide, and the beds were comfortable. Would go again and recommend it!

This is a clean hostel in a convenient part of Marseille, about 10-15 walk from Vieux-Port underground station. The rooms are spacious, beds comfortable and bathrooms clean. The basics are good and staff reasonably helpful, if a little unenthusiastic at times However, the WiFi is slow and, in a city that can be incredibly hot and humid, not having air...

Pretty basic hostel with great staff. The staff have been extremely helpful and polite, the rooms were clean, the kitchen has been great (it's clean your own dishes so obviously some people feel entitled and don't bother to carry their own weight) wifi in the main room.. Somewhat pricey but it is peak season. Would give this hostel a 3.8...

Voted the best hostel in France for 2011 by Hostelworld customers! As for Vertigo Centre that opened in 2007 , you can find the feeling of a second home here. We're located in the Old Port area, walking distance from beaches, bars, clubs, the central market and the famous Notre Dame church. We offer charming two-, three-, four-, five- and six-bed rooms. All of our dorms are very clean and equipped with comfy wooden bunk beds, private shower and toilet facilities. The five- and six-bed dorms are equipped with two private bathrooms. Every room in our hostel is carefully designed and decorated by local artists according to the unique character of each room. Our building was renovated from two typical buildings which makes for a modern cosy atmosphere, while at the same time it has the feel of a typical Marseillean house. We offer a ton of free amenities, such as breakfast, Wi-Fi, linen, a fully-equipped kitchen with free spices, city maps, personal travel info, use of our travel guidebooks, luggage storage, book swap and a valuables safe at reception - all for free!
