We stayed in Mama Shelter following a friend suggestion. Although I knew Philip Stark I had no idea that he had designed a hotel chain. The hotel is new, clean and comfortable. The service is very helpful. But the interesting part is the concept! Everything revolves around mama. Olive oil is Virgin Mama, Shampoo is Mama Loves you from top...

A friend had stayed with this group in another location. Great brand....fun, modern, slightly qwerky. Great food, cocktails and atmosphere. Buffet breakfast very good. Location in marseille slightly out from centre but not far at all to walk in (10 mins roughly). Will definitely go to another mama shelter!!

Why do I need a second lavatory, a microwave and water boiler (without coffee powder or cups), if the room for this is at the expense of a much too small bath? I was there for a night from Saturday to Sunday. Quite hungry on Saturday evening, I couldn't enjoy the famous Michelin decorated restaurant, because it turns into a...

I loved my stay here. Very trendy hotel with minimalistic yet comfortable and stylish rooms at reasonable prices. The bed is very comfy and the shower is lovely. I also loved the quirky touch with the masks on the wall and the Apple TV. The restaurant is fabulous too, quite expensive food but great service and the breakfast is divine!...

I was here with my 21 year old daughter after she read a review in Vogue. Full of beautiful people as you might expect. Very stylish bar/restaurant area incorporating lots of fun and quirky design ideas. Had dinner which wasn't cheap but we did go for it with a couple of cocktails and dessert. Breakfast really nice with a good...

The hotel is very creative, nice. The hotel bar is a good place where to take breakfast but also to have a super funky party at night. Rooms are spacious with free films of any kinds. The location is probably to far from other city parts like the sea front.

Upon arriving, the hotel does not look like much from the outside. When you walk through the doors you are greeted by a collection of crazy gifts you can buy with the mama shelter logo. The staff went out of their way to do anything to make our stay as welcoming as possible. They gave us tips on where to...

The idea of Mama's shelter for her visiting children was well played out in the rooms as well as the breakfast bar. Fascinating interior design, wonderful and silent room and a very kind and accommodating staff. Great to stay close to Cours Julien which was a pleasant area both day and night, with lots of chic and vibrant bars and...

My friend suggested I stay at Mama Shelter in Marseille. It was perfect for me. Loved the view from my room. The room was comfortable, clean and I loved the masks on the wall. Very simple but really nice. I would stay there again (or any Mama Shelter). I ate most of my meals there and enjoyed them. Liked the...

Enjoyed my stay here, rooms are small but functional with nice design, although the desk would be hard to use on the top floor with the sloped window. Area was fine looks a little grubby but so does a lot of Marseilles. It is a bit of hike from the old port to here, not too far but if your...

“We made good use of the microwave and were on a high floor - the hotel has a very popular bar open to non residents so if you want quiet go for a higher floor. We did not hear a sound. Oh, and you must view the photos and videos that people made in the rooms on supplied Apple Mac - so amusing and creative:) ”
