Excellent location close to the old port and the Canebiere. Ground transportation is also convenient.Rooms are clean and recently refurbished but small. Breakfast is good and staff friendly and helpful. I would recommend it both for leisure and business travellers.

At 70 euros per night, breakfast included, it might be worth spending 2 nights rather than one in Marseille. Location is good, 2 minutes away from the Vieux-Port, hotel is clean. However, you should remove 2 points if you need silence to sleep, insonorisation in the street-facing room is horrid and there is a lot of chatting and noises in...

The hotel was chosen for its location, ratings & price. All of them are exactly the ones other people share here. It's 3-5 min walking from the very centre of the town which is very good, but at the same time right after there is an area of immigrants, so it is not fully safe even during the day, as...

Dear Oxa1111 Thank you for your feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I am sorry sorry that you were afraid by some people around the hotel but can ensure that it is a safe area and yes sometimes they can be "too friendly" but as a woman I never had any problem of security or even...

Very well located hotel close to the old port with restaurants, museums etc close by but also the area is quite run down with rubbish and graffiti in the street. The hotel itself is relatively modern and well furnished but the rooms are microscopic to the point of ridiculous. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Dear Ian C Thank you for your feedback, we are glad you had good time in Marseille I would only say that the size of our rooms is 11m² minimum for a single room and 12m² for a double room which is certainely not huge but not microscopic either, particularly in big european cities. We hope to see you again...

We spent three nights at this Quality Hotel and it was a very enjoyable experience. We had a small but well laid-out and quiet room on the fourth floor. The decor was simple but modern, and overall quite comfortable. The hotel is about a 5-7 min walk to the Old Port, and lots of shopping and dining options are close...

My wife and I stayed for one night and selected based on price as we were arriving at 10pm and checking out the next morning. It was a very small room on a very noisy street with motorcycles, people yelling outside, and a trolley going by very often. We’re not light sleepers, and we were exhausted from a wedding the...

To be honest, I don't know if I should give 2 or 3 points to this hotel - at least I'm sure I felt like rating it a 2 while I was there. Everything started out well - we were greeted by Cedric at the hotel reception upon arrival. He was very nice and friendly, but the only employee of...

Dear nsaul123, Thank you for sharing your experience with our tripadvisor community. However, the Comfort Hotel Gare de l'est doesn't belong to the same owner. Perhaps that's why the product and service were not the same. We hope to see you for your third trip in our beautiful city. Kind regards,

On arrival I was misinformed about phone calls by reception and I was asked to pay 100 euros for just a few calls, after my complains the manager asked me half of it only; they gave me the feeling that they adjust their prices just like they want, not really according to rules…; it's located in a very noisy neighborhood,...

Dear Sonia S, Thank you for sharing your experience with our trip advisor community. Be sure that we don't set up our prices like this. The room felt like an old hospital room. Very basic it's like it's missing something. Location is not bad though- close to the port. fire alarm went off twice during our one-night that we spent there. 12:15am- staff cooking something. 6:00am someone smoking in a nonsmoking room. That didn't help with the overall experience at all.
