Feel like I stayed in a different hotel to other reviewers on here, but perhaps just a different room! We were meant to be booked into a deluxe double room, we got a box room with a slanted ceiling with a massive bathroom! My partner is claustrophobic so we checked out two days early. No room for suitcases so they had to clutter up the room. We did complain & got told all rooms were the same size, that is obviously square footage & looking at others on a floor map it seems the size of the bathroom to bedrooms vary. I think this hotel have a real cheek charging this price for this room. Its a double at best. Feel like we've been ripped off, we also did not get robes but that was really the last of our worries. The only solution the hotel could offer was for us to move to a suite & pay more, I felt like we'd give them enough for poor value. The hotel reception is very nice, when we got there they were good with regard to directions & places to go & eat. Breakfast also nice. Area around the hotel, not so nice but that is one thing the hotel can't control & around the train station in any big city is not going to be the nicest probably. …

I have stayed last weekend and can’t find anything negative about it. All the staff is very friendly and they gave me a lot of tips to discover Marseille. My room was clean, breakfast was really good, and the massage was wonderful. If I come back, I’ll definitely go back to this hotel, thanks for everything!

I strongly advise against this hotel. I tried to collect an expensive pair of shorts a friend of mine had left in his bedrom. Shorts were never returned clearly stolen by a member of staff. I also caught a conversation about another client complaining that his Iphone charger had been also stolen from the room! A bunch of thieves they are

Excellent welcome by reception, my room was sufficient for 1 person, clean and easy access en-suite bathroom. The staff are helpful in offering advice in for tourist activities. The hotel is well placed at the bottom of the steps to St. Charles station, as well as an easy walk to the Canebiere.

The hotel itself was amazing, clean and friendly staff. There was option for breakfast in the morning and free tea/coffee provided. Rooms were ample size and the gym and courtyard were very adequate. The area the hotel is situated is less than ideal and dangerous after dark.

Alex hotel is right near the train station, so it was a good place for us to catch our early morning train. It was clean and comfortable. We stayed in a room with a balcony which was lovely to watch sunset over the city.

Really good hotel, lovely design, good value, clean and central. Friendly staff and comfy breakfast area with plenty of choice. One point for improvement, reception staff looking at phones and ignoring customers. Not the norm but not a great impression.

We were pleased to arrive in Marseille from the train station to this great hotel. We spent 3 night there are we don't regret our choice. People working there are wonderful and always eager to help. The Spa is a real plus after a busy day. I really recommend it for your next stay in Marseille
