My experience with the Hotel Golden Tuilp Euromed Marseille was the worst I ever had in my life and ended up at the police station. They are just a gang of four stars rude swindlers. ! I booked on lne and when arrived at the lobby they asked the double of the price of the room just as a deposit. I requested a receipt as evidence but they refused to give me that; so I decided to go away and found another hotel for the same night. They gave me a written promise to refund the money ......I am still waiting. Hopefully, the police will catch them !

We had booked here as part of a package for the Heineken Cup Final. On arrival our twin room was ready on the 9th floor, unfortunately our views were to the side of another building. The room was as you'd expect in France, small, but was spotlessly clean, had a fridge (with water in it), safe, tea and coffee making facilities. It does have AC but it wasn't really cool, you can't open the windows which is a pity. The bar is nice and we sat outside to enjoy the good weather and a nice glass of wine. Its almost cheaper to drink wine at €6 a glass as opposed to a glass of Orangina at €5! Breakfast is set up well, you can squeeze fresh oj, some hot food choices, pastries, fruit and meat/cheeses. There is a fabulous department store a few hundre metres down the road. We didn't use the pool but its a nice one with a lovely terrace. All in all I'd stay here again if coming to Marseille, it was around €10 to get a taxi to Vieux Port, I wouldn't walk around Marseille at night there is a rough undercurrent.…

I stayed one night prior to departing on a cruise from the port of Marseille. The room was clean and comfortable, but very basic. There were minimal toiletries provided and the front desk was not friendly or accommodating of my request for an outlet adapter when mine wouldn’t work. Most notable was the 250 Euro deposit required upon check in which was not disclosed anywhere upon making my reservation. Although my room was already fully paid on arrival, the property required this deposit via credit card which took over a week to be returned. Considering the room rate, this could be problematic for some budget travelers or those not prepared. There seems to be plenty of other options in the area; I won’t return.

Myself and my wife had a great long weekend. We had a few issues with flights, etc. as seems to be the case now but the reception team could not have been more helpful in making sure everything was in order for us. This is a scam. My spouse and I were charged 150€ for a slight cigarette odor in the room. Otherwise the rest of the room were perfectly clean. Knowingly you CANNOT open the window which is sealed to the wall (Is this even legal..?) even one cigarette will lead you to be fined automatically 150€. Not being able to open the window feels very oppressive and will make you be scammed for 150€ if you are unlucky enough to light a cigarette at night without going through the entire facility and ask the rude security guard to let you out -directly on the streets- which is not really a good and safe experience on this location at night. I don't recommend at all this establishment, feeling oppressed in a submarine-like room and being charged of 150€ simply for a slight smell without the possibility to have access to any exterior except dangerous streets at night is overall a terrible experience.…

Her service was sterling! She was very helful in our requests though its my first time in Marseille. She also speaks really good english. I hope she will be accepted and regularized by the company. The food was good and my overall stay was great!

The good points first..errrmmmm...none! The negative part, plenty really, very few staff speak English, lobby is worn out and sad, room was totally bland, food was an excuse, room service pretended they couldn't hear us in the phone and were just hanging up on us. When I called reception to check why the WiFi wasn't connecting, I was faced with a lady that told me she has too much work now and to call later..shocking..then another who didn't speak English, then a guy who said he will call me back and never did and then another lady who actually corrected the spelling of my name on their system and the wifi started working. 1.5 hours to solve this!! Would not recommend at all.

The room was very comfortable with an outlook over the sea. The bed was huge and comfy. The bathroom is a good size with a good shower and a lighted make up mirror. Pleasant, stylish but fairly neutral decor. Chilled still or fizzy water is supplied in the fridge and there is a kettle and instant coffee/tea. The staff were helpful and speak English if your French is not up to it. Breakfast was good with lots of choice from bacon and eggs, to yoghurts, pastries, cereals, etc. I would recommend this hotel but I would offer one word of caution: on arrival (we paid in full in advance), they will ring fence €250 on your credit card as a deposit against damage to the room and will ask you to sign a form that states the room cleaner can tell them you should be charged for extra room cleaning if s/he finds it to be really dirty! I have never come across this anywhere else in any hotel in the world. It's the sort of thing you might expect in an Airbnb p roperty catering to hen and stag parties!…

My wife and I had a great stay at this hotel (with a special emphasis on the excellent breakfast). For those who need a good hotel in Marseille before or after a flight and want to get to know the city, its location and price are excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable and the hotel staff was very attentive.
