We've had 3 weeks at Monplaisir (our first visit) and have had no reason to complain at all. The 3 euro rose wine goes down far too easily, the bread in the morning is yummy and the shop in general is very well stocked. The staff have been polite and smiley and patient of our poor French. St Remy itself... More

We stayed at Monplaisir for a week in one of the mobile homes which was very high quality and included air conditioning, a god send in the height of summer! The accommodation was spotless and very well kept. The site is reasonably small and fairly quiet. There was no kids club while we were there though I believe there had... More

A very clean, well kept, trimmed to perfection site. Similar to a caravan club site in the uk. Very handy for the small town of st remy, a 15 minute stroll, intermarche is a 5 minute walk. When we arrived in the middle of may it was very full indeed with very few spare pitches. So it did feel a... More

A real pleasure to stay here and explore the very many local attractions. A comfortable relaxing atmosphere. Well stocked shop, great croissants, rose wine at €3 a litre and good swimming pool. Clean sanitation. If it had individual water and drainage per pitch it would be a full 5 stars.

The clean showers and toilets, the very friendly reception, the small but convenient store (reasonable prices), the quitness at night, joyful people in daytime, places with sufficient privacy without feeling alone, free wifi in the library, nice pool, what can I say more?

The reception was a positive encounter all the staff were so pleasant. We were taken to our pitch by one of the family by golf buggy. Pitch flat and dry, you need decent awning pegs which most people have anyway. Electric hook up standard UK fitting and electric polarity not reversed as can be on some sites in France. The... More

We stayed here in August with our two daughters (7 & 3). The site is friendly, family run & spotless - the toilet blocks are always being cleaned. There is table tennis, kids crafts in the morning, football pitch, petanque, an air-con games room, and a very clean pool. The shop is well stocked with wine, cheeses, hams & local... More

Excellent campsite in terms of location, facilities, cleanliness, facilities, pitch sizes etc. Even in September places are scarce, mostly because of repeat customers. We therefore felt like 'intruders' in an 'exclusive' enclave, something we have never experienced in other parts of France. St Remy itself is wonderful, with its Vincent van Gough connections, excellent restaurants and Wednesday market (bourgeois and... More

I spent many hours researching campsites in the South of France and eventually flew down to do a recce ! St Remy is a lovely town. Monplaisir is the iceing on the cake, this site is unbelievably good, family owned and run. You have to go there to understand it. It really is special.

Smart, attractive and walking distance into the lovely town. Brilliant staff, clean, spotless site. Full marks. Have stayed twice now as it makes a great stopping place mid way along the south coast of France. Only drawback for us was the lack of dog walks. The town is crammed with good restaurants. We will always visit when heading that way... More
