My boyfriend and I stayed at Vert et Blanc for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday and we had the most amazing time! We arrived late on a Thursday evening and were greeted as if we were long lost relatives - Jackie and David jumped up as we walked in, took our bags, put a glass of wine in...

Jackie and David were absolutely wonderful. They welcomed us with English tea and coffee straight out of the coffee press. It is obvious that they put their hearts and souls into Vert et Blanc. Every morning breakfast at a long table which allowed guests to meet and talk of their plans and adventures. Breakfast consisted of fresh croissants, cheese, fruit,...

If you like a friendly relaxed atmosphere that fosters comfort and a "home away from home" feel, this is the place for you! During our 5 night stay at the Vert et Blanc, we were made to feel like honored guests but were warmly included as part of the family. We most enjoyed making new friends over breakfast and spending...

I echo what earlier reviewers had said. Would recommend the chalet even though it's a 15-minute walk from town, lovely place and well worth the walk. We liked the free access to the kitchen. Jackie and David were hosts who went the extra mile. They offered a second room for a party of three at no extra charge, we didn't...

Vert et Blanc had graciously accepted a pre-season booking for our group of 4, one couple from Paris and the other from Sydney. We arrived to find the owners had been called away to resolve a family emergency. Our initial disappointment was quickly dispelled by Julie, one of the locals who had been seconded to look after us. Julie did...

Jackie and David really go the extra mile to ensure everyone is made to feel like a guest, and the chalet is beautifully equipped, spacious and very much a 'home away from home'. The food is fantastically flavourful, hearty and made from fresh local french produce, Jackie's desserts are decadent. Perfect for promoting recovery after a day swimming, cycling and/...

Excellent food, service and lodging. I would highly recommend this place. The Jackie and David were very accommodating and offered a lot of local knowledge. I have been to Chamonix before and will definitely stay here in the future. It is the best place that I have found in the valley.

Service was great and included arranging a very nice comfortable apartment near the Chalet on short notice (the chalet was fully booked) enabling me to join friends for the week, to assistance with transfer from Geneva, advice on best places to ski with varying weather conditions. Food was excellent – far more friendly atmosphere than a hotel - would definitely...
