This is simply a spectacular hotel, considering the rates. We stayed in a quad room in August and payed 98 Euros per night! The room was huge, and amazingly clean! Bathroom was great, and the LCD TV was very nice too. Parking is at a nearby garage (15 Euros per night). An amazing find!

We stayed one night at this hotel, in the centre of Lyon. For the cost it was great. The room was comfy and the bathroom was really excellent. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good.

Hotel La Residence may look a little institutional, but it offers good value for travelers who are on a budget. Traveling with our teenage daughter, we were pleased to find the hotel very centrally located on a pedestrian mall with easy access to shopping, cultural attractions and many restaurants. Our room was large by European standards with two double beds... More

Based upon Trip Advisor reviews, my wife and I stayed at La Residence. It is in an excellent location, right on a pedestrian zone. Paid parking is at a public garage about 4 to 5 short blocks away and costs about 15 euros daily. Because of the many other options within easy walking distance, we passed on the hotel's 7... More

After travelling returning from 5 weeks' travelling through Western Europe, this was the best hotel we stayed in for value, location, staff and quality. Our double room was huge, as was the very well-maintained bathroom. Reception and housekeeping staff were so lovely, and the free internet access and printing were a real bonus. Can't believe what great value this hotel... More

Found this hotel on tripadvisor and can endorse all the positive comments. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is situated in prime site for all of central Lyon- old town and good restaurants all within walking distance - metro and buses very close. Hotel was exceptionally good value. Rooms were clean and fresh towels daily. Toiletries not up... More

I had stayed at this hotel previously so knew that it was good value in a great location. This stay did not disappoint either. The hotel is not plush, but it's a real bargain and perfectly located. For about $100/night, you get a large room, modern bathroom, and free internet access! Breakfast is extra, but there are many places right... More

This hotel has a superb location near the metro stop, shopping, and dining. The staff is very warm and most helpful. Although we usuallu skip hotel breakfasts, we did try this one and at 7 Euros it was not a bad value. There is a small bakery right outside the door so we did that most mornings. This was our... As a stop en route to the Cote D'Azur this worked well for us,we arrived just after 8pm and although we could not find a parking place near the hotel, the Sat Nav eventually guided us into the car park underneath the Place Bellecour. Which charge a flat 3.50 euro between 7pm and 8am. Leaving the big cases in the... More

We stayed here for one week, just finishing our visit last week (June 2007). The residence is a 3-star hotel in a terrific location. (Ask for a quiet room and they'll give you one.) The bathrooms are clean, newly remodeled and the rooms nice and most have air conditioning. The bedding is clean and the maid changed our linens every... More
