Great 24 hour reception, very comfortable rooms, Great location. Arrived 2330 on a rainy Monday night (06.12.21) and the receptionist got us into a nearby place for a much-needed beer! Bright, clean and comfy. One minute check-out
Very disappointed with this hotel. Requested parking but when arrived, was told in a blunt way that I had not! Extremely rude receptionist ( male ) continued to be unhelpful and condescending. In addition, the rooms were dirty with ripped furniture, the breakfast room too small to host more than 12 people at the same time and a limited choice of food. By contrast, the female receptionist that took over was very pleasant and helpful. Location was great with excellent restaurant within 5 minutes walk - Brasserie George ( recommended by helpful receptionist ! )
We paid over £100 a night for a room which was extremely small. I have seen a lot of lower rates quoted for this hotel which seem more realistic. The room was clean and the bed comfortable . The en suite was again very small with minimum of any luxuries. The breakfast was ok , eaten in a very cramped room..so in retrospect we would have opted to eat out. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The situation was good , within easy walking distance to the city. It may be the case that most hotels in France are relatively small so it wouldn’t be fair to be too disparaging. I am just comparing it with hotels I have stayed in Spain, Portugal and Poland.
Concise points. Hotel position quite good as far as city concerned. Room ridiculously small. Breakfast room seats 16. Tiny! No room to move, one morning a queue of 4, albeit for a short time. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Our room had problems with the lights going on and off. No electrician available - weekend. Luckily we were moved to another room - what if it was fully booked? Breakfast food and drink ok.
We enjoyed our 3 nights in this small hotel. It is close to the train station and within walking distance to all of the attractions in Lyon. The rooms are small but have everything you need. The hotel is in a quiet area.
