As far as budget airport hotels go, this is a good one. The ratings on TripAdvisor could be deceptive, therefore I gave it three points, although I am satisfied, but calling it "Very Good" would be stretching it a little. I arrived in Lyon on Sunday evening of a rainy day. Almost all airport shops and restaurants were closed and the airport half empty, due to Covid. I headed to the shuttle stop, but the signing inside the airport is confusing, so I ended up at Terminal 1, where there weren't even any taxis and hardly any people. I called the hotel and I really appreciated the help from the staff, they were very courteous and professional and within 15 minutes I was on the shuttle, direction hotel. Unfortunately, their restaurant was closed and being so close to the airport (and again, Covid times) I didn't have any other option but to eat a sandwich. The room was minimalistic but clean, with nice "industrial" touches. It contained a large bed, a desk, large TV screen, lamps, a cabin shower, an external wash basi, a separate w.c. and soap. Would have liked a kettle, but I knew I wasn't going to find it. In the morning, the self-service breakfast was OK. I had orange juice, a cappuccino, cereals and a croissant. Quite enough for me. The shuttle took me back to the airport and I left satisfied. Again, a big thank to the staff.…
Particularly was pleasantly surprised by the free shuttle service to and from the airport to the hotel. The attention to detail and general helpfulness from all the staff was amazing. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone
We arrived very earlier on our booking day due to the Coronavirus. Staff were great and checked us in very early. Room clean, very happy to have a roof over our heads. Can't comment on the breakfast. If you're stuck for food and drink the Total petrol station is a 15 minute walk down the road.
I didn’t have big expectations regarding this hotel. It is a budget hotel near the airport. My room was big, at the 1st floor, but the smell in my room was very bad and comes from the bathroom. Even the room view was to the Main Street, I didn’t hear any noise. The breakfast was very poor.
if arriving late in the evening to the airport its good to have a hotel nearby and Ibis is one of those. Its really a budget bordering to ascetic but clean and with all amenities you could need. A toilet , a shower, a tv and a socket to charge your cellphone and laptop. Modulebuilt and assembled at site to reduce costs but if you just need a shower a sleep and then a cup of coffee in the morning its absolutely ok. No fancy pancy and not close to anything near posh. But the price 92 euro (incl breakfast)for one night is a bit too much.
