From the moment that we walked through the door the staff attended to all our needs. The manger personally greeted us on arrival and farewelled us on departure and made sure every aspect of our stay was looked after. Excellent breakfast, rooms and comfortable beds. Fantastic views. You could not ask for a more attentive and helpful staff. Very highly...

Wow - what a place. Luxury at extreme level at reasonable prices. Staff were great and only 28 rooms. Attention to detail was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Views from our private terrace over the old town of Lyon were amazing. Highly recommend to any couple - probably not appropriate for family or children. Restaurant topped off the...

The Villa Florentine is set half way up the hill at Fourviere. This affords it exceptional views across Lyon and the broader region beyond. This is perhaps its greatest selling point, but by no means its only. The service was excellent from the moment of our arrival. Our room was upgraded to a more spacious one with exceptional views. There...

Amazing room. We were upgraded to a suite. After staying at the Sofitel marseille, this was a little slice of heaven. The staff was friendly and offered us a drink and macaron after our long drive. Our room was two stories and had English speaking tv channels- a plus! Our room had a view of the city and was walking...

After checking out of Cour Des Loges hotel (our room there was dark & in desperate need of maintenance) we moved to Villa Florentine. Located on the hill of the old town (but still walking distance to everything) it has amazing views across Lyon. We received the most hospitable welcome from the general manager who couldn't do enough to ensure...

I spent 2 nights in this deliciously oldfashioned property, was able to try 2 different rooms, both very comfortable with great views on Lyon. Even though located in the city center I could sleep the windows open, it is very quiet. Manager Jerome was extremely caring, staff very nice.Beautiful outdoor pool and terrace for a drink. We stayed for 2 nights in the hotel and really enjoyed it. The room was very spacious although the bathroom may need to be modernised. Our 2-year-old daughter loved the fact that she received a bag with slippers, bathrobe etc especially for her. The toys the hotel had to play with on top of that, made that probably her favorite...

The Villa Florentine MUST surely be one of the best options in Lyon. Not only is it's position with the Basilica above it and the old town directly below( within easy walking distance), perfect, but the view from the hotel is spectacular as was the service we received. From the moment we entered the hotel, the staff went out of...

Great service, very accommodating. Large stylish room with comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean throughout. Hardwood floors in the room. Outstanding views of Lyon from my room. Quiet and cozy. Fast internet. Great bar. Very nice breakfast in the morning. I ended up at this hotel by chance - from now on, I will stay at the Villa Florentine. Thanks for reading.
