We arrived in heavy snow and did not get to leave this grand old house, made the best of Catherine's hospitality for a lovely evening in. What a beautiful home restored with love and fantastic ambience. Great breakfast served in the dining room. Would love to come back

This elegant, beautifully restored house is conveniently located near the town centre, but is quiet and peaceful. We were warmly welcomed by Catherine and her architect husband. Stayed only one night - but would have been happy to stay longer in this beautiful house. Very well decorated bedroom with comfortable bed. Located in the city centre, near Cours Fauriel, but in a very calm area, this early 20th century guest house provides a very good ratio cost/quality. Let's be honest, we're not really B & B people, but were blown away by the rooms and grandeur of this charming former silk merchant's maison. Catherine and her husband were wonderful hosts, doing what ever they could to accomodate our needs. The Villa is very large with incredibly grand rooms but still feels very cosy and warm. It is close enough to walk to the downtown area depending on how much walking you want to do however you can catch a bus several streets away.... More

Beautiful villa with very comfortable and spacious rooms. The breakfasts were delicious. Our hosts very gracious and helpful. I highly recommend the Villa Roassieux.
