Stayed at this hotel as part of a adventure holiday with Alpine Elements with my 2 children (14 & 16). Booking details were straight forward & I was able to specify the individual room (2 rooms together in one apartment). What made the holiday was the quality of the activities (white water rafting, mountain bikes, parapenting, canyoning etc) and more... More

Overall, great experience. Apart from that one morning when all the staff slept in (lol) after a night of partying, everything went quite smoothly. The food served was ok, the packed lunches were a good value too. If they can improve the food then it'll get 5 stars. Would go with them again.

I stayed at Hotel La Gelinotte in April 2016 in a group of two couples. Overall, the accommodation, food and staff exceeded our expectations for a great skiing holiday. Accommodation: We stayed in room 1, which comprised two twin bedrooms, each with its own bath/shower room and one separate toilet. We also had a balcony that had nice views to... More

Returned to the Gelinotte again this year through Alpine Elements having enjoyed it in 2014. Staff are excellent and always helpful - although as always "customer service" comes more naturally to some than others! Food was mostly good - a couple of dinners were a bit strange and I suspect there might have been staffibg challenges in the kitchen. Perhaps... More

We visited this hotel over Christmas week and loved the resort, the staff and the gelinotte so much that we booked another week just before Easter. We took another friend this time who also loved it. We had a fantastic large triple room with two balconies both with breathtaking views (room 1c). I can't rate this hotel or the staff... More

We have just returned from a lovely skiing holiday and the chalet-hotel manager, Mark, could not have been more helpful. Our waitress, Kate, was always interested in our exploits, and Luke was always prepared to help dropping off or picking up skis etc. Ollie, the rep, had a good knowledge of the resort & recommended the 1789 restaurant for their... Just to thank you all at La Gelinotte for a great holiday. Knight Manager Mark and his team could not have been more dedicated or hospitable. The shuttle bus was great and plenty of advice where best to ski, especially for the less experienced

We've just returned from a lovely week in Val D'Isere, staying at Hotel La Gelinotte. So we had lovely sunny days and perfect ski conditions which made the week pretty ideal. But La Gelinotte was a great place to stay and added to our perfect week. I couldn't really fault La Gelinotte at all; the staff were all friendly and... More

Had a fabulous week staying at the Hotel Gelinotte - an interesting mix of a chalet holiday with a hotel. Looks like a chalet but with the benefits of a hotel. Small pool and sauna, excellent bar and friendly dining areas. Alpine Elements were amazing from the moment we booked to the moment we returned. Well looked after by the... More

It's described as a chalet hotel, and it really does combine the best of both. Lots of areas to sit in, to relax after a hard days ski-ing. We stayed in the triple room, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it for a family with a teenage child who wants a bit of independence. It's more like a small apartment, with... More
