We have stayed here twice now & find it to be a fantastic little hotel, situated in the heart of Val d'isere, with great access to the slopes. It is a 2 star hotel with basic but comfortable rooms, it is very clean with an excellent service from the very friendly & helpful staff. Breakfast is great with plenty of...

Just spent 10 days in Hotel le Kern, the location is as close to the slopes as all the 4 and 5 star hotels in Val d'Isere and the value is first class. The staff are friendly and helpful and the Hotel itself is simple and charming. Located centrally in Val d'Isere its a short walk to all the shops, restaurants...

Le Kern is a small hotel right in the centre of town with rooms across 4 floors and no lift. The rooms are simple, the welcome is genuine and warm. You could spend a lot more getting a flashier room in a soulless environment and receive no welcome whatsoever. The breakfast is very good. I stayed with my son as...

Perfect location, perfectly comfortable, lovely management and a great week. Rooms a good size, ski locker is ideal and staff keen to help with any issue including rescuing kit stranded at other hotels. I will definitely be returning and would not want to spend more money on any other location. I've stayed at more expensive hotels in Val and they...

To find a hotel in the heart of Val d'Isere with easy access to the slopes, shops and bars at a sensible price is very challenging! I have stayed here a number of times, and I cannot fault the service we get. Pascale (French hotel manager) - without a doubt, the nicest lady in the resort! She has been at...

Think what you want from a hotel in Val d'Isere. It matters a lot whether you want a convenient bed and will be out all day and will arrive back so tired (and emotional?) that you cannot help but sleep; or whether you want somewhere to pass the time and enjoy your internal surroundings. Reasons to book Le Kern: -...

Best central location and proximity to the ski lifts and ice skating rink. Hotel is just off the main street for shopping and sport equipment rental. Pascale was very helpful to point out on best places to eat without breaking the bank on and off the slopes! Rooms are most efficiently cleaned everyday with fresh towels provided daily. Our family...

As usual we were made very welcome on arrival. Lovely staff, nice clean rooms, great continental breakfast, brilliant location with easy access to the slopes. This hotel is a gem & great value for a 2 star hotel.

My husband and I would have to agree with the reviewers who have praised this hotel for its location, welcoming staff, hearty breakfast and service with a smile. We've just returned from Val d'Isere, a couple of days skiing in brilliant sunshine; the hotel is near the slopes, the ski hire shop is opposite, Skimum, excellent equipment, the centre of...

Took a twin room for a week from 7-13 April 2016. When we arrived Danny (Dani?) was there waiting with a warm welcome. The staff were super friendly throughout, the room was warm, clean and quiet. No issues with noise, beds were comfortable and spare pillows in the wardrobe, which is a bonus if you like more than one. The...
