We drove to Triberg specifically to purchase a cuckoo clock. While there we stopped at the Hotel Restaurant Pfaff to have a traditional German lunch. We ordered the brats which were very good. We also ordered the Black Forest cake. The waitress asked if we wanted the traditional or the one with the cherry juice. We ordered the traditional. The...

At Triberg there is plenty to eat, see and but within a small picturesque area. We walked around and liked Pfaff instantly for its half timbre construction and yellow umbrellas. The terrace overlooks the entrance to the waterfall and the Black Forest! We ordered the one and only beer available - Furstenburg , venison with cranberry sauce (with real cranberries)...

We had room Nr 1 and 2 and enjoyed our stay at the Pfaff hotel. We booked half board and it was very good. The menue was simple but very delicious. The family Pfaff was very fiendly to us and made us feel very welcomed. The staff was very friendly-special thanks to Mrs Katzmacker who was very helpful with the...

Very reasonably priced. Clean. Service was polite but not friendly. Very average overall. There is no elevator, as with most small hotels we've visited, so be prepared to carry your bags up steps. Parking is limited, but there is free parking close by. The location is great, right in the heart of town and directly across the street from the...

I f you would like a memorable vista to think back on you must stay in one of the balcony rooms!! You're going to visit and shop in this part of town anyways, so why not stay here. Wonderful German family owning & operating this fine hotel restaurant. Personable and aiming to please. If you're lucky one of the 2...

This hotel is a charming old world place ,the resteraunt is truly excellent ! The position is great for a base in triberg ,but we were told on booking that there was parking or a motor bike ! When we arrived we found out that they only had two car park spaces and I was instructed to park my €28.000...

This was one of the worst places we have been in. The menu outside the hotel is full of fancy dishes. Go in and they will provide a reduced menu containing only a few fast-food items. Want to order the specialties? Hold on to your horses! The waiter will almost slap you: "YOU WANT THE BIG MENU??? DO YOU HAVE...

We ate lunch here after driving through the Black Forest from Freiburg. It was a cold and rainy day, so we sat inside where it was warm. Contrary to what some other reviewers have written, I found that the wait staff was very welcoming and polite. Service was a little slow, but in Europe people don't eat quickly. Our meal...

This is by far the most unfriendly and rude reception my family has received while travelling through Europe. We visited with the view to stay a couple of nights and was welcomed by a waitress in the restaurant.,well welcomed is a contradiction as she would double as Attilla the Hun. Avoid at all costs , stay or eat at your...

I went with my family (2 kids) and a native German couple. We all thought it was a great meal. The atmosphere is very German. My daughter has celiac and she had a meal with no cross contamination. Historic building and delicious meal. I highly recommend.
