We stayed here on short notice (called the morning of) and they were accommodating. It's a stretch of land sandwiched between the river and a busy road. Lovely space; basic flat grassy area to camp in, but a bit noisy from road traffic. Bathrooms with showers + a dish washing area are included. Bus stop was very close by. Overall...

Very nice camp site near a Forest, stream and within walking distance to small walled town. The town is lovely but closes early. The campsite is clean with good pitches. Brilliant for couples, dogs, walkers and families with older children, would not recommend for toddlers as the stream is very fast flowing and the pool is deep.

Stayed for 6 days, a very convenient location for trips into Heidelburg and trips round the surrounding countryside. We used the bus service to go into town several times, the bus stop is bang right outside the campsite which is very handy. There is noise from the very busy main road, but I found I just tuned this out after...

Camping Heidelberg is right on the river with a nice cafe and good facilities, the staff were welcoming and helpful. We went into the town at night and couldn't believe how well kept it is. The shop windows were fantastic. It rained through the day, so we didn't get any photos of the river. There was a sailing regatta on...

Not the quietest campsite in the world. The 2 main roads, 1 train track, and a very busy river running along side it don't help. If we had our time again we would have stayed at Nekarsteinbach, or one of the little towns or villages on the outskirts of Heidelberg. The proximity to Heidelberg city is good though, and the...

This campsite is an odd one to define. It has a great location, being just outside of Heidelburg and hugging the river. It's a long, narrow site but there's plenty of space and there's no set pitch size. There's lots to see and do nearby and all the conveniences are right there- the site has a little shop behind reception...

Expensive for what it is. Completely understaffed, leading to the owner yelling at patrons when under stress (which appears to be continously). The lavatories are clean but very old. But all these problems are minor compared to the noise from the road. At night it feels a bit like sleeping on the emergency lane of a highway.

The location is great. It is just outside Heidelberg on the main road, along the Neckar river. The view from our tent was amazing. Better than what I would have got in a hotel also! There were many people with families and friends. It created a great atmosphere. The bathrooms were clean with good amenities. They also offer wifi for...

It's quite expensive for what it is . As a previous review has said there's a lot of dog mess around which really was not great when trying to pitch the tent . The toilets and showers are ok, though the showers are pretty public, though at least they're free. Site is a little way from the centre but easy...

Did plan to stay longer, but the pitch offered at the far end by the river was covered in dog mess, so we parked on the turn round area at the bottom, and only stayed 2 nights. It appears people are allowed to let their pets do what they want where they want. No signs informing pet owners of their...

“Larger field at the west side, without AC though, is the best spot for small tents.”
