We will certainly stay here again at this small 12 room hotel on a pedestrian street, near everything. Excellent restaurant food, great location and sincere hospitality. We stayed in the room pictured on the top floor and it was air-conditioned. Note; not all rooms are air-conditioned but worth a bit extra. This room #12 on the third floor, has an...

We only stayed the one night but enjoyed the location of this hotel. In the centre of the old city not far from the sights and lots of shopping. The room was small but comfortable. WiFi was free. The hostess was helpful with lots of tips for getting around. I would class this as a boutique hotel by our north...

Hackteufel is on a pedestrian street just a block off the Marktplatz. You can park at the end of the street and drop off your luggage. It is an easy walk back from the main parking garage, which is also the location for the funicular to Heidelberg Castle. There are restaurants on the block and adjacent streets. The hotel's rooms...

Hotel restaurant Hackteufel is beautifully placed in Steingasse by Alte Brűcke. We lived in Room 8 on the top with our own balcony. We had a view to the Heidelberg Castle. What at joy. Friendly and professional staff. Good traditional German food. We especially enjoyed the mornings and evenings at Hackteufel in Steingasse.

This is a wonderful small hotel right in the heart of Heidelberg just a few steps from the Alta Brucke bridge over the Neckar River. The hotel owners are very accommodating From some of the rooms you can see the Heidelberg castle.

We arrived by train and the station was about a 5 min walk away but the hotel was very easy to find. We checked in at the back of the restaurant and went through a side door upstairs to our room. The room was fairly large with a small outdoor enclosed porch, a bathroom with a shower and small fridge,...

The hotel and restaurant Hackteufel has some of the best German food in Heidelberg. It is located in the center of the old town, next to the "Alte Bruecke" (Old Bridge). The rooms are nice, the larger rooms have A/C. The food and the rooms are reasonably priced, especially considering the excellent location. I have been staying there for many...

our family of 5 stayed here in summer 2012 and had a great stay - wonderful staff, spotless rooms well appointed and awesome breakfast in the restaurant. It is quick walk to the long shopping street and to the castle right above town. Wife and I have booked another 2 night stay this coming summer - highly recommended!

A friend and I stayed here for one night in August 2015. The hotel is in a great location, right in the centre of the old town, and surrounded by many bars and restaurants. We stayed in a room in the front of the hotel and so we could hear all the fun happening in the nearby bars, but it...

We spent three nights in early October, just as University Term was starting. We had a room on the front of the hotel and we found the street 'babble' actually quite soporific, especially the live guitar from the café opposite. The location is perfect as a base for exploring the Old Town, and transport links are great if you want...
