Despite some issues trying to get the booking sorted, we managed to stay at Villa Marstall and it was fantastic! Very well situated, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, nice views of the river and castle AND great breakfast buffet.

This is a lovely small hotel very conveniently located to Heidelberg Old Town with a good view of the river. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast good and the service friendly. Highly recommended!

It is not my intention to promote this particular gem since they already do very well without any published reviews. But as a former resident of the city and young officer assigned to the now closed U.S. Army Kaserne I returned after a 30 year absence to experience it once again. The staff at Villa Marstall made me feel welcomed...

Lovely small and very clean hotel in great location just off the main shopping street and within a few minutes walk of the Christmas markets and main attractions. Our room on the first floor had a great river view and four poster bed. Very friendly and welcoming staff. No bar or restaurant but plenty of eating & drinking opportunities close...

We stayed two nights at Villa Marstall and we were very surprised with how wonderful our room was and how friendly and helpful the staff was. Getting there was the hardest part as the alley way we had to drive down was a bit narrow but we managed. Once we got instructions on the location of the parking garage and...

This definitely isn't a large chain hotel, so if that's your preference then this isn't the hotel for you. Instead this is a small boutique hotel that has lovely rooms, comfortable beds, friendly service and a breakfast that is fabulous. Highly recommend and it is in a great location.

This (very!) historic hotel has been redone nicely, in great location downtown (1 block off the hauptstrasse) and near many sightseeing locations (Heidelberg castle, bridge, church on the square, museums, Heidelberg University, etc). Room was charming with a good view over the Neckar river. Also has a very good breakfast in the best German inn style. Great restaurants nearby, good...

My wife and I stayed at Villa Marstall for one night this October. We could not have been happier with our choice. Gorgeous hotel, very clean. Fantastic location on the river in the Altstadt, just down from the Alte Brucke. Very friendly staff and nice breakfast.

My husband and I stayed for two nights in October. This hotel had friendly staff who were always quick to respond to any of my email communications. The rooms are big and clean. We had a great view of the river. Parking is located a little far away but the discounted price was worth the short walk. Just be sure...

This hotel is centrally located, on the river, near the castle, near the old bridge and easy to get to. Parking is offsite nearby with a hotel discount. The staff was warm and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and rooms very comfortable. We would return to this location.
