This is a clean comfortable hotel run by a family. The room was a good size and the bathroom was simple but clean. The welcome was very warm and we received very helpful advice about visiting the area. The breakfast was excellent.

We stayed in a triple room (well actually double with a sofa converted to a third bed). Very nice hotel, clean, quiet, friendly and helpful owners. If you buy tickets to Rupertus therme (recommended!) at the hotel, it's cheaper and they give you a towel (nice details, also convinient). Good breakfast, similar to other hotels , the only thing that...

I absolutely recommend this hotel. It is quite small, clean, well kept and quiet. Rooms have a mountain view. Breakfast is very good. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is close to trainstation (easy to do daytrips to Salzburg and Berchtesgaden Eagles Nest). Postoffice, Italian restaurant, bakery, kiosk, small general store, army clothes shop, hair dresser and ice cream...

The Villa Rein is an easy 10 minute walk from the main train station. We were offered a choice of two rooms on arrival and took the one which had a balcony for the mountain views. The two rooms that we saw were large, had high ceilings and traditional decor, with a very large bed and plenty of wardrobe/storage space....

“Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel to enjoy the mountain vista. There is no lift so if this is an issue request a room on the first floor.”
