Great hotel! Staff is very nice, hotel itself is very well-done. Nice rooms with plenty of room. Excellent location, too -- lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance. Hotel restaurant was quite good, too. Glad I relied on Trip Advisor when booking.

The service ar the hotel is pretty good. They know alot about the area but some of the staff has limited english vocabulary. The change your bed every 2or 3 day. The rooms are average. They are big if you don't opt for the cheapest rooms. but they are not especial soundproff - you can hear people on the street....

Stayed here for a few days visiting Bavaria The hotel was located in the center of Oberammergau. The service is excellent, the food is highly recommended and the rooms are beautiful. The only things pulling back is the quality of the beds could be better (I could hear the springs as I was moving and comfort could be better) and...

On a day excursion to Oberammergau, we called here for afternoon tea and were delighted by the friendly service and excellent tea and cakes. From a good selection of cakes , we chose the plum cake, served in generous portions with cream, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

This is for the restaurant, not the hotel. Oberammergau has a number of restaurants, all of which focus on heavy traditional fare (e.g. lots of meat, fried food, stews, etc.). We walked through the town, scoping the various tables at each restaurant. The Alte Post was always busy, with people enjoying themselves, and the food looked the best so we...

Friends from overseas came to visit the area. The hotel is beautifully located to visit southern Bavaria. It has a nice, cosy atmosphere, very traditional. Well equipped rooms, quite spacious. Excellent bathroom. Plenty of cupboard space. Friendly staff /einer. Very helpful planning excursions. We felt immediately at home and well taken care of. Very good breakfast.
