Very cute alpine hotel, clean rooms with great views and nice balcony. Good breakfast with good variety. Friendly inn keepers with some good suggestions. 10 minute walk from the train station, 15 to the centre of town. Reasonable price. We had a twin room with two separate sleeping rooms and a single bathroom. No air conditioning so you need to... More

Lovely little hotel. Very friendly. Our room was lovely with a little balcony and spotlessly clean. We were able to walk to the centre of garmisch where there were plenty of restaurants. We only stayed one night as we were travelling through Europe.

This hotel was better than expected. The rooms were small, but well prepared. The room 15 had a nice view on the Zugspitze and the breakfast was nice and abundant. We appreciated very much the warm welcome of the owners. We will come back if we ever visit again Garmisch Partenkirchen. Thank you.

We stayed two nights in Trifthof with one night on the Zugspitze in between. First stay: Nice balcony from where we could see the famous ski-jump. Breakfast started at 7.30 but we were offered to have it at 7 because we were going on foot to the summit of the zugspitze so we were able to start pretty early. Second... More

The owners are what makes this small hotel so enjoyable. Mr. checked us in and carried our two heavy bags up to the top floor. In his limited English and our non-existent German he shared with us directions to activities and eating establishments. Mrs. served our breakfast each day, she speaks excellent English and has a very outgoing personality. The... More

Having toured Bavaria for a week now it seems that you will be confronted with the same style of accommodation everywhere, the classic timber balconied, pitched roof homes that the world identifies as uniquely 'European Alps'! While they look great outside, they are all similar inside; a little dated and full of honeyed timber. Where they can differentiate themselves is... More

Stayed here for one night on our way to Munich from Fussen. Hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, room was clean (but dated), enormous (Twin with 2 beds) with a living room; it had a shower and sink in one bathroom, and a sink and toilet in another, which was convenient. Nice view of the mountains. WIFI was a little... More

Located in a very quite neighborhood where the only sound you hear is birds singing. The owners are most welcoming and do everything to make your stay pleasend. Breakfast is reach and serves high quality ingredients. Rooms are large , comfortable and very clean. Recommended.

The view from our balcony was wonderful and we could even see the mountains from our toilet window! The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good too! Great location, just a short walk from central Garmisch Partenkirchen. Would definitely stay again!

We had reservations but my husband and I inquired about what type of rooms might be available since we were going to be staying for 3 to 4 nights. We were shown a wonderful one bedroom apartment separate from the rest of the rooms. It had a wonderful balcony looking out onto the Alps and a very convenient kitchen. Wi-Fi... More

The Hotel Trifthof in Garmisch - Partenkirchen is a small, cosy hotel Garni (Bed & Breakfast) in the alpine style and has tastefully and modernly furnished rooms. Our house is quietly and still centrally located: at a few minutes' walk you find the hiking and recreation area, the "Hausberg" ski lift bottom station as an entrance into the Classic Skiing Area, as well as the centre of Garmisch-Partenkirchen with numerous restaurants and traditional inns. The new ski jump is a 10 minutes' walk away, also the railway station. Parking possibilities are available directly at the house. There are bus stops only a few minutes away from the hotel. Extensive meadows with wonderful footpaths are linking the Trifthof with "Eckbauer", "Kochelberg" and "Hausberg". Due to this location the hotel is an ideal starting point for excursions by bycicle, motorcycle and car, as well as for mountain hiking.
