The hotel is very nice and the owner is friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and very clean. From our room you could see the largest Castle. Everything was walking distance. The breakfast was traditional to any bed and breakfast and was good. If we go back we will stay here again. Parking was right in front and free.

Good value for a basic hotel. Friendly staff. Great views of both castles – one from our room balcony and the other from the breakfast room. Within a few minutes’ walk of ticket center and center of town. No complaints. We’d definitely stay here again. Only improvement would be for the hotel to start offering WiFi. Neither free nor paid...

It must be admitted that Schloss Neuschwanstein - King Ludwig's gift to Bavarian tourism - is an imposing edifice and very photogenic. However, the plethora of tourist -serving infrastructure that it has attracted and the hordes of people that flock here to oooh and aaah, make Hohenschwangau village nothing more than a machine designed to house, feed and transport humanity...

I booked two nights here so we could have a relaxed visit to the castles. We stayed in the annexe at the back of the hotel, a delightful little 'chalet' on two levels. Our rooms has a little patio but a rather unfortunate backdrop of a factory but were clean and although spartanly furnished perfectly adequate for the price of...

We quite enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We have two boys, aged 8 and 10, and got two rooms for a very reasonable rate. The rooms were warm and cozy and one of our rooms on the 2nd floor had a balcony with an amazing view of both castles simultaneously. Wonderful to sit out and drink wine and enjoy...

I guess the whole town of Hohenschwangau is geared towards tourists and this place was the most reasonable that we came across. It's location is at the bottom of the hill but it has unrestricted views to the castle from the front of the hotel. All around it are the massive car parks that service the numerous visitors each day...

My friend and I booked this hotel on location primarily and on the basis that it was an excellent price. We were not disappointed with the location - fantastic views of the castles and excellent for walking into the town for lunch/dinner etc during the day. Decent sized car-park too, which was handy. We paid for breakfast which was basic...

I've been staying at his hotel every so often for over 50 years now, ever since I was a child. This is always my first choice when I bring friends or my own family to this area now. The location is perfect - the name "castle view" pretty much sums it up. You can see the castles, and you can...

The hotel itself is quite basic, but the room we had was large, clean and quiet. We had a balcony with a view over the countryside at the back, but the front of the hotel looks directly over Schloss Neuschwanstein! There is free, plentiful parking and you can walk to all the castles from here. The young woman manager was...

Booked this primarily for price and location for a 1-night stay to visit to the Schwangau castles. It is walking to both castles, being positioned opposite the main castle parking lots. The room was a fair size, the beds were comfortable, the room was very clean and the shower was effective. The breakfast buffet wasn't extensive - just cereal and...
