This is a beautiful hotel with great amenities. Rooms are cozy with a espresso coffee maker, and fridge, Loved the bathroom, the heated floors and the separation of toilet and shower. I didn’t ensure thru the hotel or it’s common amenities like the restaurant or gym but I was told of a sauna that was available to all. The hotel is in a very quite, quant and almost out of place location in suburbia. There is a metro station approximately 10-15 min walk from what I was told. A map is given to you at check in as everything is a hike. This was a business related stay and as a tourist, I think I would get a closer location to downtown. Hotel awesome, location not so much.

Steigenberger hotel is about 20min from the airport which cost you about €65 in a taxi. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms modern and clean. Only a combined shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom so bring your own if you have long hair. Good hotel for conferences and business meetings. Bar staff are wonderful too if you fancy a drink after a long day

We stayed here for four nights at the end of May and were impressed by the overall standard of the hotel. From the moment we arrived at reception and even a week after we left their efficiency was excellent. Our room was on the top floor and was a generous size, nicely furnished and most important the bed was comfortable and the room quiet.
The breakfast buffet had a very wide selection and was one of the very best that we have encountered. The only point that I would make is that the coffee machines have no place in a hotel of this standard, indeed most small family hotels still serve decent coffee. Other than that you would not want for more.
We ate in the bar a couple of times and we would recommend the burgers, they are very good indeed.
We also used the saunas every night and again they were very good, one hot and another hotter again. The downside is that they are beautifully styled but the layout does waste space and limits the area for reclining loungers in the relaxation area, so you end up on some swing chairs if more than six people are there. A cold water fountain would be a good addition rather than a tap for drinking water.
The location of the hotel is reasonable for access to both the tourist areas and the airport bus. The Underground station is probably 500 metres away but even with my bad hips I found it both easy and quick to take a large suitcase on wheels to the hotel, the airport bus also stops at the same underground station so it was easy to get a flight connection.

Germany is suffering for qualified staff.
It was evident this time.
I asked the receptionist for some still water bottles beacuse no one answered in room service number and the she said me you can drink from the tap is very good.
She was in trouble beacuse she didn’t know what to say as she was new

This hotel is excellent. We were part of a large business group travelling in from many countries. Check in was seamless (everything already prepared and just the basic formalities required), WIFI worked easily and the room itself was spotless and well equipped. The shower was epic - try it and you'll know what I mean :-)
Would definitely stay again if travelling to Munich for business.
One negative - no english speaking TV channels. I like to have background noise of CNN, BBC World News or similar but no such channels here. Minor negative though.

Our stay at this hotel was marked by a series of disappointments, far too numerous to detail fully here. To name just a few: we endured nights on uncomfortable mattresses that left us waking with back pain, a room that was clean yet marred by an odd odor, and the absence of a mini-bar. The service, particularly at breakfast, was notably unfriendly, and the spa, offering only tap water in plastic reusable cups, closed well before the advertised time, with reception refusing access. The gym was equally lackluster, providing only the bare minimum.
For a hotel charging over €500 per night, one would expect a certain standard of service, yet this was only found in the restaurant. The rest of the hotel fell far short of expectations. When we raised our concerns with management, we received nothing more than a generic response from the executive assistant.
This was a very disappointing stay and we hope that our review can help others make better decisions when booking.

It is easy to reach from the airport - approximately 25 minutes and 90 Euro.
From the hotel to the city centre it is a brisk 30 min walk or 13 minutes by taxi and approx 20 Euro.
The hotel is actually in the middle of nothing and something. Bit too far away to enjoy the Munich city centre - day and night. On the other hand it is peaceful and pretty close to a large park.
We had a Jr suite, overpriced- compared what I could have booked downtown. Not doing that mistake again.
The room was without a decent view- looked directly to the main road and driveway to garage.
I don’t understand why there is no in room minibar, housekeeping must refill coffee and the lot. Tried three times to get linen change- no response.
Many details that is not the way you expect Steigenberger to be. I can only compare to our stays at Steigenberger in Dresden and Leipzig- what dramatic difference.
Breakfast good- not outstanding.
So this was our last stay here.

Dear Guest, thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your stay. We are sorry that the stay did not meet your expectations. Our hotel is located in a quiet area in Schwabing, so depending on the location of the room you have a view towards the city center or north towards the Allianz Arena. However, you can reach the city center of Munich quickly by subway and streetcar. Since the preferences of the items in the minibar vary from guest to guest, you have the opportunity to put them together yourself in our Grab & Go Bar at the reception, so it is no longer filled in the room. We would be very happy to welcome you back for another visit to convince you of our quality. Nadine Weitzel Hotel Manager

A very “green” hotel designed to bring in natural lighting into the room and bathroom. Just don’t be surprised if the blinds open automatically because it’s a protection built-in in case of strong winds (blinds are outside the building). Room is a little small but otherwise, nice and comfy. Clean too.
Great service staff.

I’m sure it would be, but I would still ask the hotel. Start with asking for an early check in.
Dear Guest, yes we have family rooms.
- We have "connecting halls": two rooms at the corner with a third door to separte them from the corridor. For example room 555 and room 553. As a result, you get two interconnecting rooms with two double beds
- You can add an extra bed in our Junior Suites and also use the sofa bed in the Junior suites.
- We also have connecting doors to our Executive suites.
Kind Regards
Steigenberger Muinch Team
