The hotel is very nice. The room is quite small but very clean. No mini bar, cupboard or safe in the room. The bed is extremely comfortable and you can’t hear the other other guests at all. The room has an adequate hairdryer. No shower cap though. They have MUK shampoo & conditioner in the room. Hotel is situated close to a train station - a short walk. Hotel is situated in a very office block sort of area. Staff are very friendly. We were offered a complimentary drink on arrival. Hotel looks very new.

This hotel is located outside of tourist town with no restaurants nearby. But we came for Oktoberfest and it was hard to find rooms downtown at a reasonable rate. In the end, we had a lovely time.
The positives:
1. Train is a short walk. Then it’s just two stops to Marienplatz (center of town). From there it’s another stop to Oktoberfest.
2. Nice breakfast is available at the hotel.
3. There are two grocery stores and ATM next door. (You will need cash in Munich!)
4. Clean. Strong shower pressure.
The negatives:
1. No restaurants or shops nearby.
2. the train station is Huge and confusing. you have to exit the train station from a very specific exit or you can’t cross the tracks to get to the hotel.
3. AC could have worked better.

Personal style hotel with a great price! Stunning service from start to finish. We expected to have check in at 3PM but we got our room before 12!! AND with welcome drink!! The room was nice and had everything we need. Breakfast cost us 15€/person but you really cant find breakfast any cheaper as munich is quite expensive city. Great experience and everything went so well!

I booked a family room by phone and was promised two interconnected rooms. Called again to confirm this was possible. Arrived and was told such rooms do not exist.
If I hadn’t been promised it, i would not have expected it. I was therefore disappointed.
Do not promise what you don’t have and then no one will be disappointed.
I was also promised a 50% discount on the second room that the reception did not know about.
There seems to be a major lack of communication between the reservation Team and the reception staff.
Do not offer what you cannot deliver then no one will be disappointed

First off, great value for what you get. Nice breakfast buffet, upgraded, comfortable room, attractive bar and meeting area, and a quick 3 blocks from Ostbahnhof train station. It’s maybe 30-45 minutes to Marienplatz walking, but the journey is thru attractive neighborhoods, which we enjoyed, taking different routes each time. If you take the path to the Ferris wheel, there are a number of restaurants in a hip industrial area - you’ll see. Definitely will stay here again.

Stayed here 9/26 - 9/27. First there were two of us in the room. Only one both towel and two hand towels. I know to bring washcloths to Europe Asked twice for another bath towel. Finally got four hand towels. My husband and I used the 4 hand towels and saved the large towel for the next day. We were thinking housekeeping would only give us one bath towel and we would at least have two for the next day. I was right. Only one towel and one hand towel. Thankfully I hid the one from the night before. The front desk was a joke. This was a problem for our entire group.

I am not really sure why reviewers have given this hotel a 4-star. I will give it 5 stars for:
1. Close location to the train station for our frequent Oktoberfest train trips
2. Very friendly staff
3. Breakfast was very nice with many options, surprisingly, as the area looked very small for many options.
4. Activities in the lobby and a very nice place to hangout with your drinks, chat, play cards/games.
5. Rooms were small, but I can expect that from European hotels in general, especially in the major cities.
6. Parking was self parking. The surrounding area looked safe.
7. Some decent restaurants nearby to eat. Train station had a lot of cheap eating places as well

We stayed 2 nights at Moxy during the European Football Championships when it was difficult almost impossible to book hotel rooms in Munich. The position not far from Ostbahnhof is a good one. The room on the 5th floor was small and austere. Concrete walls with signs of water, reparations. A rather cold atmosphere. No closet in the room but 5 hangers on a grid. Bed was OK and the same is true for the bathroom. They charge 21 E for the breakfast. Extremely expensive for the quality offered.

We stayed a weekend in Munich and this hotel is well located to reach the places of interest. Across the East Station you will find Haidhausen with many restaurants and bars, one of our favorite areas in Munich.
The hotel is relatively new and typical minimalistic Moxy style. For a Marriott Bonvoy member it offers good value for money.

Location is rather dull but rather close to Ostbahnhof. Rooms are fine and clean and the reception area is nice. The price was unbeatable at 147 euro for three nights. For that this place deserves at least four stars.
