This kept coming to my head repeatedly during my stay at the Antares. A run down hotel with some of the rudest people i have met in Germany. This centrally located hotel has sone of the shabbiest rooms i have seen. With no air conditioning of any sorts, rooms are equipped with a sad cheap plastic ventilator that dies a...

Dear JosepPedraforca, we are always interested in constructive critics, have no problem to admit mistakes and trying to do better next time. Unfortunately your comment is not constructive and fair at all. Therefor we just comment some reasonable facts. We are continuously working at the hotels infrastructure and already achieved great efforts in the last years. For example in the...

If you want to be close to Maxvorstadt, Englischer Garten or the next subway you have choosen the right hotel with a good price. Breakfast was good, staff friendly, the room clean. A single room is not big but for day and night out it's all what you need. In summer nights with open windows it is quiet noicy of...

I booked this hotel as a standard queen size room. The room was 2.5m X 3.3M and the bed a double bed only. We could hardly move around the room with our luggage in it. When I asked the reception if this was a standard queen I was told yes. I then mentioned that the bed was only a double,...

The room sizes and bed-details are shown very detailed at all websites, but the best information you always get at our own homepage (tripadvisor unfortunately does not allow us to post the name) and also the best prices and conditions when booking only there. You booked what at your booking-channel is called a 'Small Standard Queen Room', which is the...

I don't usually give such high scores, but this is a model hotel for doing what a hotel is meant to do and for a three star hotel, it is perfect. The location is fabulous - just 200 m from the best art galleries, 500 m from English garden and even closer to the city and in a neighbourhood that...

I get it. Hotels need to do renovations. Renovations are expensive. Hotels would rather stay open during a renovation and not lose revenue. Here's the problem with that rationale. Customers stay in hotels for a place to sleep, to relax, essentially a replacement home. We pay dearly for that service. Hotel Antares reopened after 6 weeks of renovations, but half...

Nothing bad to say about this hotel. It's simple, clean, ample breakfast choice - a great hotel to use as a base. Not too far away from the centre, an easy 10 minute walk. Would happily stay here again

Fantastic budget find. Amazing small bathroom, very nice and super clean. The bathroom sparkles. Hotel has under ground parking wich cost a little extra. Hotel is 1.1 km from the Hofbrauhaus which is 8 to 9 euro for the taxi. The breakfast was fantastic with many selections. The Hotel was 100 euro cheaper than anything else we found.

The hotel will undergo renovations, so my review is for the current state of the property. The location is very good, extremely close to the historic city center, and easily reachable by metro. Breakfast was sufficient and had some choices. The staff was very kind and helpful and I hope they are kept after the renovations. However, my stay took...

Great breakfast, nice and helpful staff (the person responsible for the breakfast even remembered how we liked our coffee!), great location within a walking distance of the best museums and galleries, Marienplatz, Residenz, English Garden, etc, clean and safe. Unfortunately the free WiFi was very slow and we got to use the dedicated high-speed WiFi, which was way expensive for...

We were on the first floor, which is actually up a fight of stairs or a ride on the small elevator. The staff was friendly, helpful, and english-speaking. They said the wifi was free, but when we tried to log on, we we're prompted to charge to the room and not given the option to surf the net without paying....
