The location if fine. It is surrounded by affordable ethnic restaurants (Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, Japanese). A U-bahn station with 4 lines is a few minutes walk away and it is near enough to the city centre to walk. The staff are also friendly. Everything else is poor. No receptionist before 7:00 AM (only a porter, who can't check you out)....

The room was not that big but clean. At the breakfast-buffet there was enough to choose from. Parking your car in their garage might be difficult when you have an SUV. Make sure you have your camera ready :). The City Center is in walking distance. Just great ! The hotel is located in the Unicersity area where you'll find...

Rooms are modest, but clean and warm, which is very important in winter. The breakfast is great, the stuff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is very comfortable- next to the metro, and you can get to the center by foot in 10-15 minutes.

We stayed here in July for 4 nights. Room was small for 3 people, but very clean. Bathroom was clean and comfortable, that is very important. Staff is very friendly and helpful, they answered clearly on every question. Breakfast is ok, we found everything what we need. The bigest advantage of this hotel is location, it is pretty close to...

We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights, rooms were clean, breakfast excellent and staff very friendly and all spoke good English. We went to Munich for the Christmas Markets, and the location of this hotel was super. We could walk easily to the city centre and to all the other Markets held in different squares. Also various restaurants and...

I stayed for 4 nights in July for a short university course - selling points were the price and proximity to the university. The rooms are decent and the breakfast choice was impressive (except the coffee!). We visited the English Gardens and went down to the centre a few times; everything is easily walkable along pleasant routes. The only downside...

I stayed a week here and chose the hotel mainly for it location (near the university) and price. I had a double room which was two singles pushed together as I was informed on check in they no longer have the room I booked (a standard queen room). Staff: Very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. Wifi: Expensive (did not...

I stayed at Antares for 9 nights during a business/conference trip. It was clean, comfortable and in a great location between the University and Odeonsplatz. It was in walking distance to so many places, including the English Garden and the galleries. Breakfast was basic but fulfilling. All staff spoke excellent English. I was in a room facing the back garden,...

First of all, let me say how pleasant the staff at the Antares are! Every one of them were helpful with suggestions and helping us find our way around Munich. In addition, the breakfast buffet was fantastic, with all types of meat/cheeses/bread/eggs. So why the poor review? The first negative was that the elevator (which you need to take stairs...

This is a pleasant hotel with a fantastic location for exploring everything that Munich has to offer. Quite simply, we were close to EVERYTHING! Museums, the English Garden, the Marienplatz, the University, Schwabing . . . . and for anything further afield, we were very close to excellent public transportation. Our room was comfortable and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast...
