As other reviewers note, this hotel is cheap but in a questionable area. The staff was very helpful with planning and that impressed me. This area has beggars on the streets, lots of Arabs and ethnic groups, and so be prepared to walk past quickly to the nearby metro stations and train station.

The hotel is located in what could be described as an ethnic ghetto. The hotel itself is old and dated. There was a new shower stall, but between the walls of the shower were gaps of about a quarter of an inch, meaning showering resulted in flooding the bathroom floor. Then there's the issue of the hair dryer attached to...

This is one of those hotels that, annoyingly, change their nightly rate depending on perceived demand. So when demand is low and you can get a good rate (for eg 60 euros for a single use twin or double room) this is excellent value. The hotel is reasonably located, but in an area that some might find a little worrying...

Firstly, don't confuse with hotel of same name in the parallel street. Secondly, just remember why you chose this hotel: value for money. That means not expecting Sekt (Germany's champagne substitute) for breakfast, designer laden rooms, flowers in every nook, carpet ankle deep, and subservient spare bodies at every turn. We were in room 52 and we had: - lots...

This hotel is by no means fancy or amazing but it was clean and a good value for the money. The location was walking distance from every tourist attraction like the clock tower and St. Peters church. However it was not on the nicest street.

The reception guy was really nice and tried to be helpful and offered restaurant recommendations. The bed wasn't very comfortable, Internet was very unreliable, the hairdryer wasn't working (they changed it after 2 days), the day of my checkout I requested to be waken up but I never received the call and when I arrived at the reception for checkout,...

Economical hotels in Europe can be very austere in their decor. The Deutsches Theater Hotel is classically styled at a very affordable price. Very clean. Friendly desk staff. Veneer wood sliding closet, fine porcelain WC with gleaming tile. Good hot shower. And a sumptuous buffet breakfast with a wide variety of selections are freshly prepared daily. Located near main train...

Nice hotel, for resonable price, close to the city center and the metro. Friendly welcome at the reception, very easy early check in. No luxury in the room - but you get what you paid for. A fridge and a room safe would be useful investment. I would book it again.

Very clean, close to downtown and subway, good breakfast. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, gave good tips. The room was comfortable and had a view to the Deutsches Theater. Also we were 3 and they booked adjacent rooms to us.

Although this hotel is in a great location, close to Karl Platz- it is old and in need of a make over. it is clean but basic. The lift in the hotel is old and travel at a snail's pace. The breakfast is adequate but nothing extraordinary. However the service were impeccable and the staff was very friendly and willing...
