My family recently spent four nights at the Pension Gaertnerplatz. We had rooms 7 and 9. Room 9 just had a sink and was sparsely furnished, but it was just used for sleeping so that was okay. Room 7 was en suite and was beautifully furnished with an ornate bed and matching furniture, including a huge wardrobe/closet for all your...

Spent two nights at this Pension. Breakfasts were really not great, hotel hard to access , on second floor of apt bldg. room very small. Stay at many B @ B's , did not enjoy this one. very sterile. Very costly for what it was but it was Octoberfest so cost was higher. DId not find anyone particularly helpful. Very...

Located above a cafe within walking distance of the city centre (and Oktoberfest) and very close to a U bahn station. Our compact room was decorated with folk art furniture - and a madonna on the wall. Being at the back of the building the room was quiet - the street at the front was busy during the day but...

This is a very clean pension in a great location. It's less than a 10 minute walk to the Marienplatz. We stayed there over Christmas for the wonderful Christmas market and had a wonderful time. Breakfasts were wonderful and plentiful--the best coffee ever! It's on a quiet and safe street in a very nice area. We would definitely return!

We stayed in Pension am Gaertnerplatz for two nights in June 2010 and absolutely loved it. The location is wonderful, in walking distance to the beautiful Viktualienmarkt and city hall and center of Munich and the immediately surrounding neighbourhood of Pension am Gaertnerplatz is simply delightful. There is a trendy and very good cafe in the same building downstairs with...

I stayed here twice in June 2010 - once with a friend from Malaysia, and then again with my husband a few days later. For anyone staying in Munich, whether you are a first-timer or a frequent visitor, the location is good as it is close to multiple restaurants and bars in a friendly part of town. The rooms are...

My wife and I have stayed twice now at Pension Gärtnerplatz and have been happy both times. We absolutely love the breakfast there with its focus on high quality products, good coffee/espresso and a nice selection of breads, cheeses, meat, cereal, and fruits. The rooms are very comfortable to stay in and are all decorated differently. There is definite character...

My partner and I stayed in the Pension for three nights recently on our first trip to Munich. We booked by email about a month in advance, easy as pie. The Pension is very small and homey, and the proprietor is quite friendly. The location is excellent -- just half a block from an U-Bahn station, two blocks from the...

My husband and I stayed at the Pension for three nights in September. It was our first trip to Munich and we really enjoyed it. We were there for Fest and that was awesome too. The location of the Pension is outstanding. We got off the U-bahn after an overnight flight from the States and it was right across the...

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. Excellent location, 1/2 block from a U Bahn stop, and walking distance to the old town, outdoor market, and Isar River sites. The hotel is on a lively street in the theatre district - meaning late night noise as well as early morning noise by delivery trucks, construction work, etc....
